As I said, my free time able to share for KC-10 has ended, today.
My project enters hibernation about 6 - 10 months.

Here is the last status, adding shadows and basic collisions.

When I'll restart my KC-10 project, I'll make a new WIP topic instead of hijacking this Request topic.
Thanks all of you.

Hello.

Still I don't have time to restart KC-10 making (at least 3 projects have to be finished before it) but,
I want to buy KC-10 / DC-10 books for 3D modeling and animation java programming for ready to future tasks.
What books do you recommend ?

I've ordered Aerofax "McDonnell Douglas DC-10 and KC-10 Extender",
written by Arthur Steffen, published by Specialty Press.
I'll receive it in 1 week.

Not only "KC-10 specific" books, DC-10 books are also OK to learn common 3D shapes and mechanisms like how open gear doors or how deploy flaps, how work rudders etc.
Photos and illustrations are welcome.
Texts describing mechanism are also welcome.
Developing or operation stories are not so needed.
In example about fighter books, DACO publishing's Uncovering series (F-4, F-14, F/A-18) or Squadron/Signal Publications' Walk Around series (F-8, A-4, A-6, EA-6B) I've had are very useful for those purpose.
I need those contents about KC-10 / DC-10 , too.

I find another book "McDonnell Douglas Kc-10 Extender" written by Jesse Russell, Ronald Cohn , ISBN 978-5-510-79981-1 .
But no customer reviews are found on the web, I cannot know this book will satisfy my needs.
Someone knows this book or similar series contents ?

Ah .... price ..... $10 or $20 is OK.

No recommend ?
No interests about KC-10 mod ?
Not so needed request ?

By the way ....
I've got Aerofax "McDonnell Douglas DC-10 and KC-10 Extender".
It's generally good book, but not fully satisfying my needs.
Many color photos of DC-10 airliners are shown. When you want to draw airliners' colorful and unique skin textures , it will help you much. But less photos or illustrations showing parts' shapes or mechanisms for animation.
I'm searching one more book to fill them.

How about Airlife's Airliners series for my modeling / modding purpose ?

Same feeling when I asked for help with info for the DHC1 and heard the sound of silence.

How come people always think that what's top priority for them has to be top priority for all others?
Hint: Public WIPs tend to create much more interest from other users than asking them for the footwork while you proceed "in private" for months.

Cheers!

Even I've not read any pages of Aerofax book,
I order Airlife's , too.  :P
Besides their contents and my needs, that's the last one I decide to buy.

I'll enter hibernation again in 6 or 10 months , waiting current hurry projects will be finished.

Thanks.
