Unfortunatelly I am no good at creating 3d-modeling but I do find FREE models.
It is perhaps a little too big!  8)
It is necessary that I find how to reduce it!  :-X

Those modders who create containers for Jet Age can look for data in so called Container Guides or Container Handbooks published by shipping lines. Just two examples:
http://www.maerskline.com/~/media/maersk-line/Countries/int/Files/used-container-sales/maersk-line-equipment-guide.pdf
http://www.zim.com/knowledgecenter/containers/documents/container_guide.pdf
Main types of boxes as standard 20' and 40' didn't change much since end 1960s.

And this is for inspiration of those who will create container objects for modern/future Jet Age missions:

I agree you about "since end 1960s".

In the other side written in US ARMY's CONEX page linked by max_thehitman, those early containers in the era of Korean and Vietnam were smaller than today's ISO containers.
About CONEX container is:
(Length x Height x Width)
2.6 m - 1.9 m - 2.1 m
8 ft 6 in - 6 ft 10 in - 6 ft 3 in
 from here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermodal_container

In the section of "Small containers" tells us, US ARMY still uses smaller containers called Bicon, Tricon and Quadcon.
Bicon, Tricon and Quadcon are ISO 668's 1D / 1E / 1F.
Height x Width are common as each 2.438 m (8 ft).
Length are 2.991 m (9' 9.75") / 1.968 m (6' 5.5") / 1.460 m (4' 9.5").
 from here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_668

Not few photos show us today's US ARMY uses also 20ft ISO containers.

Thank you for the information Dimlee and Western.

I do have an idea has to how to use this same model object and try to paint a skin to
make it look like a series of modern metal containers which can be used on our maps in
seaports and in Army + Air force bases as supply containers. These will look nice to fill in empty areas
on the maps and add more realism.

But since the skin size is so small which makes the details become blurry, I will try to make
a 1024x1024 skin instead and test to see if it will look better on this model. I will also test it with
a 512x512 skin , as long as it does not become too blurry in the details.

If modders decide to add containers to maps, I suggest to keep in mind the following:
1. Container terminals were rarity until 1980s but then they become common part of ports infrastructure all over the world. So for Vietnam War scenarios, couple of hundreds of 20ft or 40ft containers in Saigon port are OK. But should anyone create maps for 1990s conflicts with ports in, large stacks of colourful boxes are essential.
2. If modders decide to create detailed container skins for XX century maps, I recommend to use historical images of boxes owned by following lines (with the largest container fleet until 2000s): Sealand, P&O, Happag Lloyd, Maersk, Mitsui OSK, APL, Evergreen. Probably Soviet MMF as well. For example:
https://goo.gl/wE71P9
http://www.atlaso.com/images/containers/4504-2TQ.jpg
http://goo.gl/aj3JuF
All above said about marine containers used in merchant shipping first of all. But "merchant" boxes were widely used by military as well, - McLean's vessels were in Transpacific service to/from Saigon already in 1960s.

 from here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermodal_container

I make its 3D.

- single
- stacked 2x
- stacked and side-by-side 2x2 (easy to set many containers on maps)

I'll send its data to max_thehitman by PM.

Next I'll try Bicon, Tricon and Quadcon.
After it, ISO 20feet and 40feet.

Just what the maps need !

I also make Bicon, Tricon and Quadcon here.

Because of UV mapping works, Bicon's 2x2 is made side by side as same as CONEX, but Tricon and Quadcon 's 2x2 are made as forward - backward series.
And all variants of Tricon and Quadcon are rotated 90 degrees.

ISO 20 feet containers.

 - single
 - stacked 2x , 3x and 4x
 - side by side x2 of stacked 2x , 3x and 4x

I'll need one more day to finish 40 feet ones and pack both 20ft and 40ft into one archive.
