Nice air intakes but...
Is that Yeti sitting in the pit or why is he so large compared to the aircraft?
And why is the spinner pointed so little?
Why that skin incompatibility?
That's a real bummer.
Japancat's A6M mods are so brilliant but virtually unusable for mismatching skin mapping.
I thought that this mistake was something to learn from and not to repeat.

Best regards - Mike

Excellent job!

I managed to download and install the mod on an HSFX version (4.12) but the landing gear is opening upwards through the wings and it looks ridculous.

Any way to solve this landing gear issue? Could it be realted to incompatible game version (4.12 but no conflicting mods aside from HSFX)?

Molva is a great artist, I like his 3d-models. Thank you for the new Yak !

....
but I am sad to see that the old skins will not fit into the new version  :(

Very nice, I will definitely try them, thank you for posting!

FYI I managed to solve the landing gear issue.
I searched the aforementioned aviaskins.ru topic for the corrected version of the mod (others had this "inverted" landing gear issue too), and for a Yak-3 replacer, and I did find one there.

One issue remains still, that the corrected (Yak-3 replacer) mod for 4.12 has a problem with the radiator animations (only the forward small air outlets open accordingly, the big cooler stays always closed).
Aside from this small issue, the 3D model looks beautiful!!! Huge thanks for Molva and his co-workers!

As pertaining to the Yak-3, by 'Molva'. On the Aviaskins site you wil find the needed
d/ls and info on the pages listed below...

Yak3_new d/l and air.ini  The Yak3_new is about 3.5mb   On page 4...
=================================

=================================
Yak-3new air.YAK_3new 1 r01 SUMMER
=================================

This will fix the landing gear problem..on top of page 5   YAK_3new.zip (4.3 KB, 65 views)

This is another Yak 3 that is listed on page 5, it is larger at 7.3mb, but it doesn't seem to have a air.ini
entry, so for me it didn't work.

(YAK_3.Zip)

I really like this plane, BUT, and this is a big but!, the plane has no damage textures!, or even damage modeling it would appear!!
I was hit hard from behind by a Bf109G10 in a dogfight, a lot of sparks and smoke, but no visible signs or damage, and the plane
flew as though nothing had happened!!
I may take this Yak up a spin now and then, but with no external damage model, it has little appeal to me, at least.. Disappointing....
On page 6 of the Aviaskins site (use Google Translator..) they discuss the damage model and they show one picture of
on-going work on the damage model. I had wanted this Yak in my Russian hanger for a long(!) time, and She looks GOOD!
But missing what I think are vital parts, well it's a let down..... :-|  On the plus side, the new Yak skins for this Yak make it
look Fantastic!!   :o ;D :D   Also I like the way they show thickness in the propeller profile, and how they blend the spinning prop
into the spinner as a blur..very nice...

Kudos to Molva and his crew for the GREAT work they've done!!   ;D :D
