The real reason for the TangleChute confusion in CUP.
« on: June 12, 2016, 09:55:42 AM »

We have seen lots of errors from people regarding the TangleChute method.

The problem stems from the versions of PAL VisualMod included in the initial release of CUP. Both the v8 and v9 have the bug involving a missing method in the Paratrooper class which causes a CTD.

However, the following people do not see the bug:

 - People who do not activate the PAL VisualMod at all
 - People who installed the optional JSGME RESTORE POINT CUP and use that PAL VisualMod version
 - People who download the latest PAL VisualMod from the release thread

So if someone comes in with a CTD and we help them find their log and it is once again the TangleChute method please direct them to the JSGME Restore point or the VisualMod thread.

I think this should be stickied, just in case.
