4.09/4.10 : plane_ru.properties / weapon_ru.properties
4.12:  plane.properties / weapon.properties

In both cases the modification of these files is optional, the only thing these files change is the displayed name of the weapon/plane.
The only entry a plane requires in order to work is the air.ini.

Anyone having problem with 'weak' gun sounds?
I tried reinstalling the game and vp mods but it didn't solve the problem.

#SAS\!!#00_GUN_SOUNDS_412_modact\Samples\MG_Breda127_1i.wav (the weapon.MGun_20_500.prs controls its volume) is the 20mm sound, you can replace it with samples from the soundmod Steven uses. It's probably Tiger33's UV3 soundmod.

That solved the problem, Thanks! I replaced mine with Catahoulak9's sound mod.
I thought there was something wrong with my game

It has sfv files, with those you can check your downloaded files for crc errors.
There's another mirror at mission4today.com, but that is also mediafire.
So there are four ways to download the pack, all work as far as I know since nobody reported a problem in the past few years.
Try downloading outside the peak traffic hours.

Btw none of the images you posted are visible.

VP Modpack #SAS folder

Hello all;  After over a decade of not touching IL2 I have installed 46 and DL'd the VPMOD, I have a question though, are all the mods in the #SAS folder already activated, or are they optional that you can put into the JSGME folder and activate?  I ask this because I see there is a HUD mod, but I am still just getting the red text at the bottom left.  I notice some files have a ! while others have a # and yet others nothing and I do not see a readme file.

Apologies if this has been asked already, but there are 182 pages of messages and a search found nothing.

1. adjust your forum settings, i only have 44 pages
2. ! or # characters only influence the load order of mods, (- in front of a name deactivates a mod)
3. there's no real hud mod included, the ones you have only modify a few graphics (reticle, arrows) and the postition
4. the contents of the #SAS folder is the active mods collection, jsgme is optional for extra mods you wanna add

How it can be used, step by step, please, cause simple clicking to sfv do nothing..

PS: maybe, your Pack not compatible with 4.12.2RU ?
