I couldn't resist building a campaign for this aircraft. Set in Malta in the fall of 1942. Playtesting now. Will post in a couple of days.
Can't wait !  :P

Dear sirs,
as I said two or three days ago in a previous message on the original thread about the Short Sunderland, when I unzip the folder short.sunderland 2.0 I get a lot of message of errors and I can't get the unzipped folder. It still is the case in the new thread. Are you sure that there is no copyright lock? I downloaded the 00_Short_Sunderland folder from the previous version of the thread and I could unzip it and install the plane.

Dear Gaston,
you are right, I used another unzipper than 7zip, now I got it but the instructions for the installation are laconic, even after looking at the message of Alfie Noakes, I don't understand what I have to do with the two 3do folders. I will first stay with my 00_short_sunderland that is already installed and just add the skins.
In my message I also asked whether there was no problem to replace in some campaigns the H8K Sunderland by the Short Sunderland since there is no weapons.properties folder.

Hi tartenmuche ! The best way is, I think, creating a new 'test' mission with as many Sunderland as you need to display all kind of weapons available. Then you can copy and paste what you need to upgrade your previous mission files  ;)

And here is a campaign for the Short Sunderland:  :)



It's a 6-mission static campaign portraying the activities of a Malta based Short Sunderland Squadron during the fall of 1942. The worst period of the siege of Malta is just over, but the action in the air is still brisk and deadly. You will perform a number of mission typical of the Short Sunderland: long range sea recce, u-boat hunts, bombing raids, pilot rescue operations. You will be based in Calafrana on Malta, which historically was the base for these flying boats during the air and sea battles for Malta.

The campaign has been built in DBW 1.71, using the 4.10 version of the game[/u]. It might work in other versions as well, but I haven't tested that yet.

This mod uses an external FM.
The buttons are not at fault!
I'll post external FM for UV2 and UV3 ... Patience!  ;)

Note: as you can accept all these errors in the MAT files?  o_O

I am not sure what the issue with the mat files is, seems rather unbrelated and related to a 3rd external effects mod TBH.
