FPS and graphic problems

First let me say you all do an amazing job and as an avid WWII and beyond military geek you have totally nailed it,
i was wondering if i can tune the game to run a little faster, iv had problems when flying over cities, intense AA fire from ships, ect, that the FPS drop to almost zero, i run a laptop specs are as follows

3.5 ghz I5 CPU
2gb nvidia Gforce 710m vid card
Tb WD harddrive 
Win 7 pro 64 bit

Im pretty computer savvy so you dont need to dumb it down(much) thanks for the help guys(and gals)!

... post your conf.ini settings, OpenGL section please ...  ;)
