... they don't work simply because they are in 24 bit format instead of stock 8 bit format, they should weigh 1 Mb instead of 3 Mb ...

Other solution apart from converting them in 8 bit format (very easy to do) is to install Hi-Res mod ...

Here they are in 8 bit format ...

Thanks for posting the conversion to 1028/8. I made these long before learning the different between 1024/8 & 1024/24.
