Engine Overheating problem in CUP D.O.F.
« on: December 10, 2015, 01:28:03 PM »

Hi all,
In one of Montys posts in C.U.P.,
He states " For Dawn of Flight Turn-OFF: Engine Overheat and Torque and Gyro Effects",
but for a newbe ! how do I do it?
Any answer would be very welcome.
Not sure if I should post this here .
Cheers edc1 (Stan)

Changing "Difficulty" settings in mission briefing screen.

In example, QMB screen, "Difficulty" button is here.

The next screen is Flight Model page.
In it, "Engine Overheat" and "Torque and Gyro Effects" entries are here.

When the Red lamp is shown on each entries like my screenshot, those flight model difficulties are enabled.
You can click the switch icon to disable them.
When disabled, the Red lamp goes out.

Hi western0221,
many thanks for the info, I think I am becoming brain dead
It was my 70th birthday not long ago and its starting to show.
A simple answer to a tricky question. (I think I need a manual on read the manual first before doing anythink)
Again many thanks

Hi western 0221,
Just to let you or other newbe flyers know it was
the config that  was the problem and not the difficulty settings.
The speed bar was set to 0  and would not change from within the game
I reset it to 1 everything now ok.
I have also made the config file read only because it must have been a downloaded mission
I was trying that changed the config file (and the intro movie to on)
Another lesson learned!
