Stock dgen LW and ROM Stuka campaigns
« on: November 21, 2015, 10:17:13 AM »

Hello,
every time I try to start a new dynamic campaign for Stuka, it gets me to a screen like this and I can't do anything. This happens for both Romanian and German Stuka campaigns. Could anybody please tell me what might cause this problem? Thanks in advance.

for a fix see replies #3 and #10.  ;)

Hello buchtik,

In order to help you, we need your logfile!
Read how to get the log here.

Important: read here which part(s) from the log to post
and how to post it. (code option!)

Best Regards,
skylla

buchtik, as a workaround try this:

open your #WAWs air.ini (find it in: your_CUPs_path\#WAW\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects)
with a texteditor, find the section "Stukageschwader" and replace there

this lines:

Code: [Select]
Ju-87D-3          air.JU_87D3j 2                                g01   SUMMER
Ju-87D-5          air.JU_87D5j 2                                g01   SUMMER
Ju-87D-7          air.JU_87D7 2                                 g01   SUMMER
Ju-87D-8          air.JU_87D8 2                                 g01   SUMMER
Ju-87G-1          air.JU_87G1j 2                                g01   WINTER

with this lines:

Code: [Select]
Ju-87D-3          air.JU_87D3 2                                 g01   SUMMER
Ju-87D-3j         air.JU_87D3j 2                                g01   SUMMER
Ju-87D-5          air.JU_87D5 2                                 g01   SUMMER
Ju-87D-5j         air.JU_87D5j 2                                g01   SUMMER
Ju-87D-7          air.JU_87D7 2                                 g01   SUMMER
Ju-87D-8          air.JU_87D8 2                                 g01   SUMMER
Ju-87G-1          air.JU_87G1 2                                 g01   WINTER
Ju-87G-1j         air.JU_87G1j 2                                g01   WINTER

then try again. Please report any further bugs.  ;)

Gerax, I tried your fix. The german Stuka campaign now loads fine, however, the romanian campaign still doesn't work. Moreover, the Ju-87B2 now doesn't have cockpit view.
Edit: The Ju-87B2 cockpit view seems to be missing regardless of replacing the air.ini lines.

I tried to generate ju-87 campaigns before I posted the workaround.
I have the ju-87B-2 working and can generate romanian campaign too.  :-X

Maybe you forgot something when editing the air.ini?
please check your 'WAWs air.ini again:

the whole Stuka section should look like this:

Code: [Select]

Sorry, the ju-87b-2 still isn't working. I checked the air.ini and even copied the Stuka section you posted here, but I still get no cockpit view...
Edit: I disabled the Ju-87 bomb release gear mod in JSGME and the B-2 now works properly. The romanian campaign remains still broken, though. German campaign seems to work fine.

buchtik, i checked this and could generate 3 romanian stock dgen campaigns
on several maps with no errors in my CUP WAW (no extra mods added,
activated via jsgme: #CUP_Forgotten Countries, #CUP_MissionProCombo-v4122,
#CUP_Stabs4All, #CUP_Big Clouds by Manysh).

Apart from the now disabled bomb release gear mod do you have
any other mods in your CUP WAW wich could cause this?

I have the same issue. Not possible to start up Romanian Stuka pilot career, even with all Mods via jsgme disabled....
Had the same problem with Luftwaffe Stuka pilot career, but the tips from SAS~Gerax solved this problem for me too.

Hello, found something weird... which makes it impossible to start up Romanian Stuka pilot campaign.
The file "campaignsRoS" and "campaignsRos-de", "fr" and "ru" contains these lines:
* Stuka.
Dynamic campaign for Romanian Stuka pilot.
Crimea41 Crimea 1941
Crimea42 Crimea 1942
Kuban42 Kuban 1942
Stalingrad Stalingrad
Kuban43 Kuban 1943
Kubanlate43 Evacuation of Caucasus
Crimea44 Crimea 1944

In my NGen folder, there is not a single file referring to Crimea41. It is remarkable, but the file for the Romanian He-111 pilot campaign does not mention the "Crimea41 Crimea1941", so when I changed the lines in the DGen/campaignsRoS and following by the lines from the campaignsRoB, without the Crimea41, the Stuka campaign starts up without any problem.

Question: should the NGen folder have to contain a specific Crimea41 file? My install does not... Changing the content or... simply removing the first line of the campaignsRoS file, referring to Crimea41 does the trick. If it is all right...?  ;) Don't know, but it solved it for me...

Greetings all,

Jenato

buchtik, Jenato:

my fault, I forgot that I had added the missing P.11c line to WAW air.ini,
so please forgive me and try again with copying this line into your WAWs air.ini:

Code: [Select]
P_11c             air.P_11C 1                                   pl01  SUMMER

to have this stock P.11c flyable in other countries than Poland
unzip the attached fix into your #WAW ..

please report ...  ;)
