C.U.P. compatible campaigns
« on: March 21, 2015, 12:36:53 PM »

Is there a running list of C.U.P. compatible campaigns anywhere?

I'm more of a solo player, and while the FMB/QMB seem cool (don't have much experience yet w/ those functions), I LOVE flying all the custom campaigns.

So two questions actually. 1 - Are there any C.U.P. specific campaigns? 2 - Are other campaigns fly-able? (like ultrapack ones)

Thanks in advance for the help!

I've had good luck with TFM campaigns....but i'm in the same boat as you, I play solo and love a good campaign and can't find many that work with this awesome CUP patch.

Methinks patience is the key here. Monty and the boys are likely to have Updates that flesh out anything missing in the modules any time now (Monty said that most of the missing content was simple oversight, and that he plans to rectify that). There is a fellow working on a script to make corrections to existing missions/campaigns, and the usual suspects are furiously at work updating thier old campaigns or just plain re-writing them (and of course, surely making new ones).

I know I'm not even going to bother messing around with any of it until at least the first patch or two. With my luck I'd put a bunch of time into rearranging campaigns and Monty would post a patch that puts in every single thing that I just took out. :)

Hello Peter!

be prepared to convert some of your SCW missions to 4.12 standard :D
my little project we talked about is prospering and it works as intended; right now I only need to check objects and maybe I´ll add the ship extension mod too, but otherwise, i got the planes, I got the maps and most of the objects;
might be that some campaigns need adoption work with regard to certain objects, but that can be done rather quickly, as tllodyau seems to be a very fast guy in that kind of job :)

Griffon!

That sounds GREAT! The ships are NOT crucial in any way, so don't waste too much time on them. Instead when making 4.12 versions of the campaigns I can see that all non-standard ships are replaced - ok?

All the best

Ahhhh..dang me...
I ah morrible with files and folders..I can never get the layers correct, ( and much much more) but I can not get any of the 3 listed campaigns to work..  all I get is:  "failed to load"..

I use 7zip and unzip into a folder on my desktop called    BattleforFrance & then drag it into the Missions/Campaign/FR folder...

what should I be doing???  Sorry for being dumb, but at 75 & computer challenged it just never works for me the first 10 or so times...

Hey PapaG39, to add the campaign
1. Put folder from the .zip file into Missions\Campaign\FR folder
2. Remove all the files in the main campaign folder that end with _ru.properties
3. Copy all the files from folder "France-1940_MB152 for CUP here" and move them into the main campaign folder overwriting the original .mis files
4. Move the Skins folder into \IL 2 Sturmovik 1946\PaintSchemes\
5. Download and install the MB.152, Leo, and Potez 540 as linked in the Mission4Today description
Optional: move file in "New background here" to Campaign\FR and

Hello guys, I set all campaigns for CUP and I tested "fighter boys" and "abbeville boys" right now, but I have a trouble with "abbeville boys", the FW190-A5 engine doesn't starts; other fighters taking off and I rest in the same position with engine off. Any fix or suggestion for this trouble, please?

Many thanks.

Ciao.
