You have to have the skins folders in your PaintSchemes folder. To make a skins folder for the plane you want skins for, you must make a new folder and name it EXACTLY as the name appears in the AIR.INI file.

Hi Charos, I'll try to explain how I do it, please since i'm not even an 'average' mod user I strongly recomend you follow every safety procedure here in SAS recomended.

All the ac skins should be in this location:

...\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\PaintSchemes\Skins\(f.e.)PB4Y-2

There you'll find the folders with each stock aircraft skin. When create a new modded plane skin folder you should name it correctly in order to show up in game. The correct  aircraft's name in the in the air.ini  (Found here: IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\#WAW-or the 'era' your currently using-\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects) line, in my example:

PB4Y-2            air.PB4Y_2 1                                usa01 SUMMER

I hope it helps you, and I encourage you to do some research at SAS,takes little time and you will be helped by a wonderfull community ;)
