I did not try it, but pictures look good. If it's workable, it might be of great help for mission builders.

Bender_GUNFIRE_DAYNIGHT, An extremely nice looking mod
Those pics dont really show it but from the cockpit view low calibre fire looks awesome.
The only thing is, you need to downsize textures from 1024^ to something lower otherwise some heavy guns might produce a lag on low tier PC's.
