Hello and welcome willtheboss323.

You don't have an HD mod.                    =  stated in #199 post.     Check #120 , #121 posts.

Either use an HD mod or convert to 1024 skins compatibility.
- The answer to that one is included in previous post.       =   #204
- JSGME may contain HD mod, or https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,42744.0.html

You must READ:      =  ...first post and from post #195 and on ...

While asking for help:
- log file of a problem should be produced...https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,19308.0.html
( An exemple of such use in #196 post ).
- and a descript of your installs situation ( game version ) is needed.  =  stated in #197 +answered in #198.

Use v2.1 only; this is full mod, and most recent. V2.1 is not a "patch". = stated in #201.
Full setup:  #202.

I accidentially skimmed over the part that mentioned HD default skins, will download and if it is fixed, I will let you know. Also, sorry about the fact that I didn't list the game version and the log file. I'm new to this site and IL2 1946 as a whole.

I downloaded the HD mod and the skins loaded, so that's a plus! But only the AI can fly the plane, as when I do I crash at 100%. I notice how you keep mentioning V2.1, which number reply contains that download. Also here's part of my log file since the whole thing exceeds the message length limit

First post quotes:

patch made by Bison_M: https://www.mediafire.com/download/a6vff69frihys68/Tu-95v2.1.7z     <--- is not a patch; is full mod.

You still don't mention your game version.                          Note:    I support only 412.2  SAS 5.3.
Meet all the prerequisites. ( = "NoSuchMethodError" )   You have no working pit.

Tu-95 requires:

The first post LINK to v2.1 now appears to be dead. Uploading.

I have just tested the above download in a raw SAS5.3 with the 2 prerequisites mods, and it works.

However the full weapons list is a no-show until I 'drop in' file of Jetwar 1956  ( original mod + patch v1.33. ).

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,15649.0.html

You don't have to 'write-install' this mod for now, just 'drop in' it's proper files in their proper place;
their presence will suffice to give you the full range of needed weapons, if you don't have them already.

LOG

Jetwar present ? (  = 000_1956_Core_v133   )

Check post #202 https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,43854.msg638719.html#msg638719
..where I gave a similar but more detailed/more advance demo. The #211 was a crude test of my upload..

Consider: both demos are in clean installs; you "may" have some conflict with other mod; renaming the tu-95 file (to earlier in alpha numerical order) improves it's priority over other mods. ( ex.: !SAS_f_Tu-95_v2.1   or  !            Tu-95_v2.1   = ! + lot of blank spaces ).
The later is more dangerous as it precedes engine mod et.c; not recommend xept in extreme need for testing.

This is my #SAS folder, are there any mods in here that would conflict?

MAPMODS
MiG_21
PylonLAU130_HYDRAx19

I know I have a lot of mods installed, it's just that I like to maximize my IL-2 1946 experience!
I'm also trying the renaming tactic that you mentioned!

Just to be sure of proper paths:

Package extracted is:      SAS_Engine_2.8.1w_full_20171218  /  !SAS_Engine_Mod   /  3do             ( wrong )
                                                                                              !SAS_Engine_Mod_GuidedMissiles   /  0C1CDAF6B291AD14 and more.

what works is:                !SAS_Engine_Mod   /  3do                                                                      ( OK )
                                     !SAS_Engine_Mod_GuidedMissiles   /  0C1CDAF6B291AD14 and more.

renaming  !SAS_Engine_Mod to:       ! ! SAS_Engine_2.8.1w_full_20171218  / 3do                      ( OK )

That goes for anything else:  #SAS   /    any-mod-name  /  3do      and/or    the class files.
