Quoting myself:

Tried to install on my 4.12.2m + SAS Modact 5.30, it does not work. ::(

I checked highlighted textures and they were in. I think the true problem was their size, like pointed out by the log:

Code: [Select]
INTERNAL ERROR: Texture Buffer (limit 4202496 Bytes)is to small to fit 16777216 Bytes!
actually the two texture are 16384 KB instead of 1024!

So I replaced them by your textures and... voilà!

I cannot understand how other non-4.09 users could have it working! o_O

Merci beaucoup, Epervier! This world would be worse without you!

It does work if you use the HD/True colors mod. Without this mod, I have exactly the same problem as you on my 5.3 install.

Thanks for the head-up, but I wonder where the user is warned that the HD is mandatory.

However, also with Epervier's fix, the aircraft was not flyable, since getting cockpit view as follows:

so lately I removed ALL that crap and replaced with the gorgeous v3.3, which works flawlessy in 4.12+MA5.30 (even default skin is better, since an improbable sand color is replaced by the historically correct "dark earth").

Cheers,

Please help me,I have freshly installed version of 4.12 modded with the SAS MODACT 5.30X,SAS AI FLYABLES 5.30X and the SAS Featured JSGME Optional Mods for Modact 5.3x.

I put the Lancaster MOD into the JGSME Mod folder, run JGSME it says it has installed it,but I can't find the Lancaster in my aircraft list when I come to choose it,please tell me what I'm doing wrong chaps, thank you in advance.

Question:Do I have to add any lines to any folder or something?

Hmmmm I could be wrong but I dont think you run the Lancaster from JGSME. I think you drop it in your mods folder like most installs and add you air.ini line and off you go.

...I think!

RooMan is right: you do not install the Lancaster (as well as any new plane) by JSGME.

Just drop folders "01__Weapons_USA_GB" and "06__Avro_Lancaster_v3.3" inside your "#SAS" folder, then add to your air.ini (located at path: "C:\...\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\#SAS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects") following line:

Lancaster         air.LANCASTER 1                       NOINFO  gb01  SUMMER

then open plane.properties (located at path: "C:\...\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\#SAS\STD\i18n") and add what follows:

Lancaster     Avro Lancaster Mk.III, 1942

lastly, open weapons.properties (located at same path of plane.properties), adding what follows:

#####################################################################
# Lancaster
#####################################################################
Lancaster.default                       Default
Lancaster.16x250                        16x 250lb Bombs
Lancaster.24x250                        24x 250lb Bombs
Lancaster.8x500                         8x 500lb Bombs
Lancaster.12x500                        12x 500lb Bombs
Lancaster.4x1000                        4x 1000lb Bombs
Lancaster.6x1000                        6x 1000lb Bombs
Lancaster.1x4000                        1x HC-4000lb Bombs
Lancaster.1x12000                       1x 12000lb 'Tallboy' Bombs
Lancaster.PathfinderRed                 6x TIRed Flares
Lancaster.PathfinderGreen               6x TIGreen Flares
Lancaster.PathfinderYellow              6x TIYellow Flares
Lancaster.PathfinderOrange              6x TIOrange Flares
Lancaster.none                          Empty

CAUTION! Open those files by Notepad, but click just "Save" to save and not "Save as...", otherwise they will be transformed in text file, unusable.
