Radar for B-29 (AN/APQ-13) WIP
« on: November 11, 2014, 02:05:22 PM »

Beta as on 2014/11/14:

This is a W.I.P. preview of the final implementation of a "full featured" radar for Il-2:

It is the third cockpit of this B-29SP. It was only tested over B-29s Pack or HSFX7 (it theorically requires the Sven Groetsch aka "Kami_1" B-29's cockpits).

It implements by very first time an interactive panel in game to easily control its many parameters.

Features released on 2014/11/11:
-AN/APQ-13 quite realistic representation
-Full azimuth / distance planar image representation
-Interactive GUI Panel in Cockpit
-Range Selection (5Nmi, 10Nmi, 20Nmi, 50Nmi, 100Nmi)
-Azimuth Stabilization (orientation to north)
-Sector Scanning (-90deg, 0deg, +90deg.)
-Landscape scanning (with elevation representation)
-NMi to Km switch (non present in original) to make life easier for metric system thinkers.
-Now working both Gain nor Tunning knobs (New)
-Improved and rationalized graphics specially in Sector Scan (New)

Current Limitations:
-Only available for B-29SP for the while
-Only tested in HSFX7 and Sven Groetsch aka "Kami_1" B-29's cockpits
-No Actors displayed (only landscape profile)
-Non-working neither Gain nor Tunning knobs

Known Issues:
-Low FPS specially in non-good computers (this could be improved, probably in a significant ammount)

Regards,
                    Pablo

No, I meant the ones first appeared in HSFX6 and later maintained in HSFX7:

Sven Groetsch aka "Kami_1"

Perhaps it works with Ranwer's ones but I don't believe so.

Just tried this mod with Antos B-29 Pack in 4.12 MA5.30 Jetwar,
412-TFM (Antos B-29 Pack extra installed) and HSFX7 (nothing else needed):

grandios! works flawlessy in all versions!  :)

one thing: this Radar Mod must be loaded before Antos Pack in 412,412-TFM.

Great work Pablo, unfortunately i don't have HSFX installed so can't try it out yet. But really well done for enabling another great feature in the game.

cheers

S3, this code is still being worked out. In fact I think that today I'm going to post a version with several improvements.

I usually don't have my work in the SVN, but if you want to see it send me a PM.

Regards, Pablo.

Updated first post with some improvements. Now the Gain and Tunning knobs work and from my subjective point of view are "reasonably realistic". I have improved some of the graphics:

I've done several searches but can't seem to find Antos B-29 Pack. Could somebody share a link? Thanks!
