I just have to ask.  The readme tells me to unzip into my missions folder, and it also tells me that the missions will the in my NN folder.  Do I/should I have a NN folder under missions?  I'm afraid I am missing something I think.  OK, pretty sure I have.  Will you give me some simple install instructions for my simple mind?  Thanks very much.

Hi Bob

If you do not have a NN folder yet it will be created when you add the contents of the 'Missions' folder of the download.

Copy (or drag) the 'Missions' folder from the download (after unzipping it of course) and paste it in your TFM 412 game folder. It will ask if you want to merge/overwrite the folder, just say yes as there is all new content and you wont lose anything.

This will create the NN folder and when you go into the game/ Single Missions you will see the country 'none' which will contain the 'Chapters'.

Cheers

Thanks again for answering another in a series of not so smart questions.  You know, I used to be able to do these missions things.  At one time there were a bunch to download I think, and I was always able to get them to work.  Now, not so much.  I do understand your response and that is amazing in itself.  Appreciate your help.

My old rig cant run these - I get the dreaded 'russian mono paratrooper' message when trying to load them, not enough ram I suspect? Roll on next february when I get my new rig!!

Are you already compressing your textures?

Hi MadDog not as far as I know just running TFM 4.12.1m - but these are so graphics intensive my paltry 2gb and AGP card cant handle 'em!

Take a look in your conf.ini file and if you have TextCompress=0 change it to =2.

'russian mono paratrooper' generically seems to imply that you are out of VRAM on your graphics card and the actual phrase used to denote this bears no resemblance to anything actually loaded or not loaded in the game. The standard remedy is to use greater texture compression to allow more textures to load into VRAM.

Hello Hamm!

just wanted to let everyone know that the 4.12 missions work in 4.10 and they give me more FPS in my TFM install;
some of those missions were nearly unplayable in my newTFM install, but the 4.12 missions look way better;

cheers

I noticed that you toned the 4.12 set down when comparing the mis files;
still performance in 4.12 is much better than in 4.10, I get up to 80FPS in some of the missions that were barely playable in 4.10, so I guess I will be able to do all these missions finally :)

say do you intend to do more Duels based on some of the Osprey duel books that were published?
there is a great one about Spit V vs Mc202 over Malta and F4F vs A6M over Guadalcanal for example...
