Hello guys! I have made the repaint of the USS Battleship Iowa BB-61 (by Diving_Hawk), and I think now it looks mush more realistic than when it was blue.
Great job, thank you! What about camouflage version?

There is a detailed painting instructions from TAMIYA ...

Radge, I tried the Kingfishers on the Iowa, but they will not spawn on the Cats, I need to figure this out. Iv got this in PreDBW2, so this might be a problem for the upcoming DBW2. I'll keep you posted.

I had it working in my install of 4.12.2 M/A 5.3................ does anyone have this repaint that can repost it or send it to me............ I won't use a link I can't read........... too much maleware out there...............

Thanks

Hoss

Hello deSAD! This camouflage you are talking about is default in ten010's patch, but only needs damage and "far" textures what I'm going to do ;)

Hi Hoss! If I've rightly understood, you need the English-language site. If it's so, here you are, download from mediafire :)

Not quite :-\ If believe the information from TAMIYA, the deck should be much darker than the field of camouflage on the sides. In the version that offers ten010 all the way around. In addition, the camouflage pattern on the port side is not like that, as it should be according to TAMIYA ...

Or asymmetrical camouflage for port and starboard impossible to do? :-[

Great news 8) Thx for your labor!..

Infortunately, yes... It's impossible because of mapping :( Check the starboard... As I remember there camo is all right with TAMIYA

Thx for your labor!..

You are welcome! :) This labour is pleasure for me, "kogda ruki dohodyat" ;) :D

Hey guys, nice work repainting her! Quick question- does anyone notice that the whole ship is a little high, or out of the water too much? Like she is today, empty. A lot of red can be seen. The water should reach the black hull line IMO...

Yes, I've noticed this a long ago, although I don't know how to fix it, I just don't have skills working with 3D :-[

Practically ...

Small flaws, I think, are associated with the same "features" of mapping :-\

I think - yes. The only forecastle, according TAMIYA, should not be as bright as the board (Light Gray), and somewhat darker (Metallic Gray) ...

Oh... that screen is just for you to show the colour of the deck. Of course I'll paint it all carefully on the assumption of TAMIYA pictures and so on forecastle ;) The only problem will be that fact that forecastle use the same texture as the upper part of the catapults, so the will look the same (cats should be grey).
