Great GREAT photo selection Alfie!.
Thank you so much good friend. I have not seen some of these before.

They will give me some good ideas to paint skins for the next selection of aircraft I will do for the DBW-1916.
Those little details are important to know on an airplane, if you want to have the best looking airplane skins to fly in WW1.
I like to have all my airplanes looking as real as possible.

Many thanks Bravo & Max......praise indeed  :D
I love sifting through old photographs to find rare gems and am particularly interested ATM in early a/c flown by the Turkish/Ottoman airforce in WWI .
Incidentally, as far as I know this topic isn't locked so all members can contribute AFAIK, but remember the original criterion....

1. Black & White (also tinted, autochromes etc)
2. WW I ( + a couple of years either side  ;))
3. Interesting/ informative
or
4. Funny
or
5. Weird (arty  ;))

Also, BE SELECTIVE, there are thousands of dull, unfocused and badly composed snaps from WW I out there....none of those please  :D

Cheers

Oh sorry, I forgot that this is an aviation forum so it is logical that this topic should contain aviation pictures.

I am really sorry guys.

Fascinating...thanks for taking the time to post these everybody.
Some very strange looking kites and precarious gunnery positions featured.
I presume the planes marked with the hakenkruez (sp) are Finnish, correct?

The hakenkruez marked a/c are Latvian late WW1/ 20's
