7.0.2 patch for 4.12.2. Client & Server

For hsfx v7.0.

Update il2fb to 4.12.2.

Download the Auto_updater & Install it.

Run the Auto_Updater you will get the 7.0.2 patch (listed size 97.46mb's) but if you downloaded the earlier 7.0.1 update, you should have a bit of this already so its a little quicker. 7.0.2 is  inclusive and includes 7.0.1 content.

Three kinds of triggers have been introduced in the game. When the activation conditions are gathered :
1 –the “Apparition” Trigger allows activation of one to four planes that will follow a flight plan predefined by the mission designer;
2 –the “Takeoff” Trigger allows one to four planes to spawn that will take off from an airfield chosen by the mission designer;
3 –The “Apparition Related to Altitude” Trigger uses the same principle as the “Apparition” Trigger, along with the possibility to insert a variation of altitude (positive or negative) compared to the Trigger-activating plane altitude.

Catsy explains in the manual, when using an apparition trigger, put a similar type AI aircraft in the corner of the map, this will remove lag when aircraft spawning.

Channel Circus DRK Summer & Winter maps:-

Expanded versions of the Normandy map added because it is used by some of the new Assura Dgen campaigns and is a very nice addition to boot. A few names on the English part of the map updated by Cat.


Incorrect airfield co-ordinates removed from ItalyAfricaGreece map ini to remove Java console log errors.

Bf109 Late missing wing hooks added for Rocket loadout.

Aachen's continued FM work:-

Rev record 7.0.2.
Expert mode in all cases. New 'mod' aircraft changes in the default mode also denoted by *.

Corrected weight of F4F-3

Bf109E1 to E3* prop pitch model changed. Reverted back to the standard 109 prop control. This was necessary because the ai does not perform properly with the manual prop. Players can still switch the prop to manual pitch (ctrl + 0 ) and should for the most re-alistic experience.

Slight Increase in Prop reduction  for B17's, B24 & B29 to increase climb rate at altitude to bring them closer to documented climb performance times.

Modified maximum allowed revolutions for B-24J engine & Increased flaps down lift slightly. This solves the issue of AI take-off in overload conditions.

Modified MerlinIII* engines (for Spitfire MkI and Hurricane MkI) to reduce the gap between predicted il2 performances and reference historical performances (mainly RoC)
Modified Merlin XII* engines (for Spitfire MkII) to reduce the gap between predicted il2 performances and reference historical performances (mainly RoC)
Modified Merlin61, Merlin63, Merlin66 (18 and 25 lbs) for Spitfires Mk VIII and Mk IX to reduce the gap between predicted il2 performances and reference historical performances (mainly RoC)
Completely reworked GriffonII, GriffonIII and Griffon65 for Spitfires Mk XII* and XIV*
Corrected some weight issues on several planes such:
Spitfire MkII*
Spitfire MkXII*
Spitfire MkXIV*
Spitfire MkXVI*

(+revised il2 compare data included in the HSFX V7 Tools & Read me's folder. You will need to unzip & replace your current version to look at the revisions.)

Small Revision. Sunday 23rd February:-

Small revision to triggers to correct a compatibility error with the carrier takeoff mod.

Also small modification to the way that probability is randomized in relation to the probability of appearance.  (probability variable in the case of ai only flights triggering them.)

A Tiny code update but worth it.

re-run the Auto-Updater to get the changes.

Having trouble installing the updater. Says I have a newer version of visual basic so it won't install.

That means that you don't need to install the visual basic part as you already have it.
Just ignore that message (close it) and continue dirthawk.

i think this is a stupid question, but will there be a way to download directly the patch, not with auto updater? i have no active internet connection, sorry

your question is not stupid!!!

My "Internet-PC" is an old thing with a "A7N8X" board, 40 GB HDD and WinXP (year 2004).

I never get IL-2 1946 & HSFX on this old rig...!

You can do it with the updater.

Copy your:-
jsgmemods folder
jsgme.exe
JSGME.ini

onto a flash disk or similar..

Then at work Create a new folder for the download and put the above into it.

Then Install the Auto-Updater into the folder and run it to completion.

Copy the entire folder onto the flash disk (or a cd).

Then with your home PC:-
Disable everything with jsgme. (Move to left).
Copy the contents of the folder into your il2 root folder.
(overwriting in all cases when asked.)

This will create a 6.0.1-6.0.16 patch effectively.

(you then should edit the :-
HSFX_Client_Updater.ini
so that it has your new game path rather than that of your work PC folder...just incase you feel like using the updater with the modem at some future point.)

The Updater only contains content for hsfx7.0.2 now.

The process above should work if you need to use another PC  to get the updates for v7.

If you are looking for the old v6 Updates, no need for the Updater,  they are bundled together  in a small patch:-
