Zeppelin-Staaken R.VI own slot

Zeppelin-Staaken R.VI

Own slot version

This is my first attempt at making a slot available, sorry it is not all singing and dancing, but here you go:

https://www.mediafire.com/?pjxc3w2xmg12ysz

There are no Bombardier or Gunner stations operative in this download, sorry, I tried to implement those from other aircraft but the result spoiled the superb geometry that Gio had created so there is only the cockpit available.

Base code: Il-2 Sturmovik by 1C/Maddox games and Team Daidalos.

Original model by: gio963tto.

FM: SAS~Skipper from the Ilya Mourmets.

Default skin: MURDOC.

Model folder originally for use in DBW 1916: SAS~vpmedia.

Help to alter hook text to remove floating bomb position: SAS~vpmedia.

4.10 ClassDumped files used for slot: SAS~Storebror.

Original SSP files altered to make mine: SAS~Epervier

Tutorials:  SAS

Slot: Pete Shaw aka Mission_bug.

Self Stationary included:

Known problems:

You can see the bombs are too far to the port side of the fuselage.

Sound dissapears once the engines start but comes back once they power up.

National markings from the sim will not appear.

Multi option available, if you select the Red side she will appear in the Ukranian scheme, the Blue, German, oppologies to anyone who would prefer otherwise but DBW 1916 offers few choices.

There is a lot still to do, however, at the moment I lack the skills to proceed any further with it.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

Yes, Yes, I also shout, Excellent! Well Done!
The DBW-1916 needed a nice new slot for this magnificent and unique bomber. Hopefully one day, we shall see
the British flying with their giant bomber too.

Glad you are happy with the aircraft guys, hopefully you will have no problems with her in your DBW installs. 8)

Sorry I could not take it further, she really deserves a purpose built set of gunner stations and the capability for a bombardier, I only actually managed to get the gunner stations active, unfortunately with cockpits that really did not fit and whenever I activated some kind of Bombardier station the sim would lock up as I exited the QMB mission screen. :(

Maybe now she actually has a slot someone will now take up the baton and run with it and improve it further,  I can activate the java in the class to point to the necessary folders if someone does want to do the 3D for the gunners.

Hope you enjoy flying her.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

That bug is present in many other ww1 planes, unfortunately. The flight model needs to be fixed, but thats not my area of expertise.

The 3d model of this specific plane seems to have been correctly built and exported and includes damage collisions and boxes. BUT the java file of this plane (Zeppelin_Staaken_RVI.class) does not include ANY damage model......so all these colllisions and boxes remain inactivated. (It extends directly the Scheme 3 mother java class, something strange by itself as this mother class is only used in the original game by the FW189A2 and not by bombers....)

4.10.1 Game modicated this way:
Code: [Select]
1. Process the game with a wrapper (the package includes wrapper.dll and il2fb.exe), i.e. We throw in the root folder of the game, previously saving the original il2fb.exe.
2. create the MODS folder in the root directory of the game
Everything, the game is ready to take fashion. Mods are added to the MODS folder, according to the logic of the wrapper they are loaded into the game in alphabetical order.
