This is my very first IL-2 campaign ever and I enjoy it very much. A perfect campaign to start with IMHO.

Everything as worked perfectly until now (DBW+New TFM) but in the mission France1940-4 I have the same problem with my plane exploding right away when starting the mission.
I'll test to open the mission in FMB and just save it and see if that helps.

"Years of Triumph" have now been updated to version 1.1. See here: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&file=details&id=1869

I have tried to fix and/or amend things that people here has pointed out to me:

•   Changed altitude and weather in several Spanish Civil War missions
•   Fixed errors in some France 1940 mission set-up (to hopefully eliminate all risk of exploding aircraft on the runway...)
•   Removed the IK-3 from the Yugoslavia 1941 missions, plus fixed some badly placed static objects on the home airfield
•   Fixed some typos

That was perfect timing!

I opened and saved the France1940-4 mission in FMB and that worked well, but I had the same problem in France1940-10 but when I tried to open it in FMB I had "Stand by loading mission" forever.

I saw that France1940-10 was updated in 1.1 so I hope that problem is fixed now.

This is a very mysterious behaviour. As they of course ran fine on my rig. But I guess that this can happen with a very different install, other Mods etc. But the "Open-And-Save-In_FMB"-trick will, as showed above, fix it.

YoT v.1.1 feedback:
BoB1940-10: The plane floating in the air at mission start and exploding.
The FMB trick solved the problem as usual.

In BOB-13B I was assigned to fly a Do-17z, is that intended?

In BOB-13C my computer had big difficulties running the mission. I tried lower these settings as follows:
TexMipFilter=2
HardwareShaders=0
Specular=1
SpecularLight=1
VisibilityDistance=2
Forest=0
LandGeom=2
Water=0

But I only got framerate:1 when the fighting started...

What settings should I turn down when there is high air activity in a mission?

I've also encountered some strange phenomens during the campaign which is not related to the campaign itself:.

Sometimes when I start a mission the sky looks like this and it goes away after a while:



Sometimes when in external view my plane look like this. It's only the player plane - never other planes:



Any ideas why this happen?

The strange (phsycadillic) anomaliesin the first pic can be due to overheated GPU! Try to clean some dust off.
