Our venerable IL-2 again has some interesting new features at step door.
v4.13 update:
*Totally new Sounds (planes, explosions,etc.)
*Camera tracking for bombs, torpedos & rockets(!)

Official team definitively plunged into mod business...

Just curious, are they using the same code as SAS engine mod for the salvo settings?

i keep hoping they'll release that New Guinea/New Britain map...since it was built for what? 4.09?

Interesting stuff indeed, being able to track my torpedos will be usefull... although I think those sounds are from that person's custom install of sound mods, something that became available with 4.12; I myself have Jafa's Allison sounds running on my stock install. If those sounds were coming with the update they would've said so.

They use the idea, but from our experience with past official mod versions the code will be rewritten completely and spread across a dozen classes at least

And this frustrates me. For (in my opinion!) very little gain (I include 4.11 to 4.12 in this), everyone has to spend time updating existing (better) mods rather than creating new ones...

bombs will now all need to be improved, model-wise and texture-wise, if they are going to be at all photogenic for the camera
