My first time landing the P-38. Could have been worse but it could have been better. LOL :)

So I made a little flight training mission for the P-51 to practice take offs and landings......

I'm enjoying the stable flight models of the P-38, P-47 and the P-51. I thinks the Dev's have done a great job.

Hello,

Have BoS deleted! Steam is shit! Just wanted to make an update, message: This update takes 4h45min.

The "update process" was aborted several times. Then followed the hints for a faster download and cleaned up the download cache.

Now again "sign up" on Steam, Name and password were not recognized.

FINAL, that was it!

45 minutes later:

Best regards, Gerhard  ;)

Interesting thing.
The single benefit Steam Users are reporting over "other" (read: IL-2 Sturmovik Web Store) users - and I can confirm that, since I'm using both methods - is that Steam Updates are lightning fast whereas downloading a new update straight from the IL-2 sources right after release can take a looooong time.
I have just reinstalled my Steam IL-2 Great Battles from scratch @home (Steam Install), which resulted in roughly 17 GB to download - took about 22 minutes for me and that's pretty much what my INet connection (100 MBit/s) has to offer.

So Gerd, before you blame this on IL-2, Steam or the like: I'd rather check the Internet connection of yours.

Thanks for the hint. I've finally removed Steam forever.   ]pottytrain5[

Let's see if I can get BoX completely without Steam.

You will have to buy it again from the IL-2 Webstore.
Honestly, as much as I hate Steam myself, once you get used to it it's not that bad and concerning download speeds, it's much better than the official distribution channel.
