I have bought the model kits for those birds and I just noticed that in the mod Mk.22 and Mk.24 have the same lenght of the barrels while on kits the Mk.24 should have shorter barrels....not a great deal but I report it anyway because in my sources this is their main difference....

Hi Walter, as far as i know, only the late production F24s aircrafts had the short-barrelled Mark V Hispano cannons, but this (together with what type of droptanks were used) has been kind of confusing to research with certainity.

If you can provide sources, i'll be glad to shorten them!

Hi!

From my source: SAM Publication - Modelers datafile - Supermarine Spitfire part 2 - Griffon powered

++1

As I already posted in a hot diskussion about this plane some month ago, the Infos in ALL my books about Spitfires is:  The short barrels are typical for the F.24 and the Seafre 47.

 ;-)

Cheers

Having a chat to Red_Fox about it, we should be able to figure something out. Also, Storebror has alright indicated to us that we'll adopt the new wings for the Seafire pack ;)

 Hi SAS~Anto,

I D/L and installed this airplane about an hour ago, very NICE!!! But, boy is this plane twitchy, at least on my saitek joystick! It seems like if
you just move the stick a hair, the Spits wings are wobbling all over! This is a GOOD thing though, because she can turn on a dime
and give you 9 cents change!! I took her 'up', high up and whopped some Ta152 ass, but good!!!! With a height advantage I could just
BARELY beat her in a Bf109k, just barely!!  ???

I did notice one error on the instrument panel, your ampere gauge has not been mirrored, because the gauge is backwards, and cannot be read.
Sorry, I have a degree in Electrical Design, so I notice things electrical..Heh.. Other then that, a truly GREAT effort, and a great plane.
Thank you! Well done!!   ;D
Horrido!

Guys I got the Spits to work in DBW 1.71. I also was getting the 60% CTD. All I did was install the latest SAS_Engine_MOD_v2.6_RC_Final and they loaded fine.

*BUMP*

New version on front page. Includes minor 3D and FM fixes, but also the addition of the F Mk 21 variant.

For those with keen eyes, you might notice that the skin templates are not correct. Please be our guest and feel free to create one for them :)

woww, a 21 as well!
thank you very very much, one of my favourite Spitfires is flyable now;
for some strange reasons, I like the razorback Griffon Spits more than their bubbletop canopy brethren...
will be fun to fly around the UK in those high powered brutes :D

cheers
