YAk 9P
« on: August 06, 2013, 09:02:07 AM »

Some time ago Skvorez and Karabas-Barabas posted a new Yak-9P mod on Aviaskins - the links are no longer active - can someone give a correct link for the download?

Is possible to add this in a specific thread on "URSS_Single"?

This excellent mod of Karabas-Barabas/Skvorets from Aviaskins is really needed so much for Korean missions and and flies flawlessly in 4.12.
But let to propose a slightly revised version.
The only difference is that it uses 3d model, which doesn't overwrite 3d model of default Yak-9U, which remains wireless as before.

I tried the above Karabas-Barabas model.
It seems unbreakable, perhaps DM model not yet finished ?
And FM - is it correct ? Seems too slow.

Could anyone tell me, why was a plexi / polycarbonate panel over the loop antenna, between the canopy and vertical stabilizer? I always found it very strange. Here in Hungary this P subtype was the first fighter in service after the WWII (and a quite problematic type, especially the engine and oil system).
