A little "what if story"

After Germany invasion on the Soviet Union brits send a small squadron of RAF forces to Russia, in exchange fo Hurricanes and Spitfires, soviets offered to the brits their latest design, ground attack aircraft Il-2.A small number of Il-2s were bring to the UK for evaluation.Compared to other home designs this type of aircraft prove to be very usefull and brits decide to obtain a license.Stalin himself write an order to Iliushin design bureau to gave all blueprints for free to the brits.This way Il-2 became an first "soviet made" ground attack british aircraft build in england.








Few years later on D-day some German troops who survived "ost front" hell and were send to the west noticed an aircrafts of familiar shape over their heads with one thought on their mind  "oh shit not this again".

Hahaha, seriously SAS~vampire_pilot, the Pandora ? Well done ! There was a Hughes "Devastator" WIP way back in 2017, actually dead ....but it makes me wonder about SPB I-15s on Zeppelins like the TB-3
