Better FPS over Summer Slovakia Cities
« on: August 04, 2013, 05:45:25 PM »

Hey guys! Extract the 'actors_summer' file from the below zip to your 'Slovakia' folder to depopulate the objects of the larger cities. Hopefully this will improve your FPS. I started with walls and other smaller objects then moved to removing buildings. I tried to not over do it though.

Thanks, I'm gonna give this a try and report back with some info on how much the fps was changed over the larger cities.

You're welcome guys. I hope you see some improvement in game play. Gerax, I only ever tried it on 4.09. I guess I was being safe.

Thanks again, I got ~15 fps increase in my framerates over the larger cities, they were around 20-24 before now its more like 30-40+ fps with a GTX550 Ti 1Gb card @ 1440*900 screen resolution.

Hi making 153. It's easy to do once you figure out how to get your 'map making' IL2 game installed. I read a tutorial by Kevin P which explained everything needed to remove objects. I got the tutorial from over at All Aircraft Simulations.
