So, I get the impression you like floatplanes?
« on: June 21, 2013, 12:33:26 PM »

Having finished the Stranraer, "Cherry" and Monsoon in quick succession, I've had a fair few direct requests from people asking about the Vought Kingfisher and Mitsibushi F1M. While I don't normally respond to direct requests, I do like both aircraft, and I'm prepared to tackle one of them. Vote above for which you'd prefer; i'm not that fussed personally - I like both. I've just finished a 1/72nd scale kingfisher, and i'll be picking up an F1M fairly soon.
Please bear in mind i'm not really that bothered about which is the "better" aircraft (we could debate that until the cows come home), just which you like more.

Matt - you are a saint! That you are going to do both is a blessing enough - which ever order! Love your work & the rate that you are turning these beauties out  :)

Edit: apologies - in the excitement misread your post - voted above
Enjoy a toast after each mod finished - you should be drunk soon  ;)

Hang on, I did NOT say I was doing both! I asked which you'd prefer if you had to choose!
All the same, thanks for the complement. If you're wondering about my rate of work, it's because i'm on holiday from uni, and there's not masses to do around here. When i'm not drinking.

My personal preference is for the Kingfisher, but all seaplanes are gladly accepted. ;)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Kingfisher is an absolute neccessity. I actually like japanese planes, but the utilitarian choice was the Kingfisher. This plane is really important! :D

I think (IIRC) there is already a "Kingfisher" model up here which has been used to create a "stationary/moving" version.
