Isn't that basically the Russo-French version of the Vickers Gunbus? With the exception a Gunbus never carried ordinance.
No, it's a completly different aircraft.
It is the continuation of the early farman wich were operationnal before the war (1912).

Right, with the exception of the Strutter, the french did not copy british designs.
Sometimes for good reasons, sometimes simply out of national pride.

I must be rather dim...comes with age...but I don't understand the installation instruction. It isn't a matter of just dropping the 3do file into 1916/STD is it?

No oldschoolie,

          These files replace your Farman 11 instalation (for now, until a slot comes along). I backed up my Farman 11 and it is simply a case of renaming the new folders to see the plane.
