Found 4 old (but gold) missions
« on: March 23, 2013, 12:58:14 PM »

I was happy as a child I found four of my old missions on mission4today  ;D

From may 2006. You need 4.4m version for play them. Which means it'll work in any case  :) And looks different now and then. Here they are:

From the ReadMe:

"Dust Eagles Volunteer Squadron
Mostly veterans from Spanish civil war. Tough men, adventurers who don’t like military discipline but likes engine roar, gasoline smell, good fight and, above all, planes. Always with cigarette in the corner of a mouth.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These two fully fictional missions are created as a part of a campaign which I will finish when new free add-on comes out cause wont to use those new Italian planes, and its only purpose is fun.You fly Gladiator and trying to defend your airfield and Stuka, which you must steal from a hangar in the enemy base. Be quick, precise and aggressive and if you use autopilot, you wont last long. I try to make it looks a Dirty Dozen, Indiana Jones, Kelly’s Heroes style.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought, if it is movie then the actors would be Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, Telly Savales as squadron leader definitely ………….and Dustin Hoffman would play some philosophically mooded mechanic. I made that poster trying to looks like movie posters from 1940’s like: Casablanca and similar".

Missions names are: Bloody Hell!!! and Commando Thief (so, everything is in that spirit  :D ) I have the whole campaign around somewhere.

The next:

The ReadMe:

"Pierre Clostermann said about escorting the bombers….:”Sometimes a presence of just a single pair of Spitfires give them strength to endure till England and not to bail out from their crippled planes over enemy territory”……

Needed installation: FB+AEP+PF 4.01m (looks better with TypeClouds=2)
Difficulty level: Hard
Mission Duration: 20-45 minutes
Autopilot will not work; you must do it all by yourself.

WARNING
Sometimes Liberator will be shot down before you reach it, sometimes will be intact and sometimes will have long smoke trail (most beautiful),because of very limited tuning possibilities  in game’s full mission builder. In fact you will have a different mission every time you start it, just “Play it again, Sam”"

And the mission briefing (suppose to be "immersive"  ;D )

"Red one,Red one, Kenway calling
Steer 090  zero, nine, zero
One of the big boys left behind his box, alone and heavily damaged.
Give him escort at least to the channel.
Air sea rescue will collect them.
You should meet him above Vimoutiers in about 12 000 feet
Abbeville boys already up and plotting towards you.
Avoid fight, you should have just enough fuel to reach
If in trouble go over channel C for Charlie
Kenway out."

And the last one:

The ReadMe:

"Your last flight with Val, probably yours last in this war.

1945 on some small island in Pacific where you was detached with one Val squadron and thanks to that survived till now. There is nothing and no one left of your squadron, but you, your gunner Takeshi and your plane.

Some Japanese fishermen saw one damaged American battle ship not so far from you, about     degrees. That's maybe the last chance to regain your honor.
Takeshi and you sit on the sand and drinking up the last cup of sake, he plays "Song for the Dead" on his cither. You don’t worry about fuel, because almost have none, and you don’t worry about anything.
Although it is morning, you know that Sun finally sets upon the land of the rising sun . . .
Time to die."

Hope you will enjoy them like I was then and now  :)
