I am installing and testing each plane seperatly. So far the Se5 and Se5a and the Spad7 check out ok in
QMB have not tested them in FMB. The Fokker DR1 works in QMB but not with AI contolled aircraft they
are frozen in mid air.

I started by loading gun and bomb folders.
I made copies of all my plane folders. Then started updating
Plane by plane. I found the Fokker DVI causes a 60% ctd

Thanks DreamK! I'm gonna have fun time while testing this, but its gonna take a while.

My guess is that with the new weapons added,  many missions and campaigns will require editing and retesting which will be quite a task for the future. I think planes usually explode when they got a bomb ordnance which doesnt exists anymore. Needs to be tested.

About install problems and crashes:

- Fokker Dr.I has a good set of classfiles only in my DBW-1916 update because I had access to previous versions and when the "plane frozen in mid air" issue was reported I reverted to an earlier set and it solved the problem. The version you can download still has the FM problem. 'Mid air freezing' is not realted to this mod imho.
- Nieuport 17 and 23 is not in DBW-1916 (...and I'm getting very tired to see screens of them all the time!)
- Fokker D.VII is not in DBW-1916 only a frankenplane
-Caproni.42 doesnt have its own slot yet so its not in DBW-1916
- Friedrichshafen G.III still has the SM_S55 slot because the own slot version was unable to take of so I could not import it into DBW-1916 (reported the problem many times)
- because of mission compatbility DBW-1916 still has the old slot Nieuport.11, so this upgrade will not effect it

When I'll install this I'm gonna copy all files into one common folder and load them first (in DBW1916 call the folder #00_DreamKWeapons then it will be loaded before every other folder), theres no need to overwrite anything. Duplicates are not a problem if the right version is at the first place in the load order. Its not elegant but neccesary for testing. Just backup your weapons_ru.properties file before editing it.

Cheers

Same result here, AI controlled Fokker DR1 aircraft are frozen in mid air.

Not being a W.W.1 flyer as much as other wars and conflicts this looks really really immersive   :D ;)

I'm sure this will help me get into some further W.W.1 flying.  :D

Everything looks supurb

Boeing is correct the DVI is causing a 60% CTD crash on my system also.
Boeing, this is easily fixed by replacing the aircraft from your backup copy.

if it turns out some guys are struggling with this, can i ask, Dreamk, Istvan, would you guys consider incorporating this into a future 1916 patch/update?
it might make life easier for those who are a bit confused...

I gave it a try but getting the 60% crash despite that I only added the planes which are in fact in DBW.1916.
After a few attempts I've found that a classfile caused the crash in the Rolland D.II folder of the arms upgrade. (D767974CFD948F78). Now I see that this was for a different slot which is not in DBW.1916 because of mission compatibility.
I've also found that the The Fokker Dr.1 classfile causes mid air freezing of AI planes + the Fokker D.VI classfiles indeed will cause a 60% ctd.

Only these will work in DBW.1916:

AEG-CIV
Albatros DIII
Albatros DVa
Aviatik(il)
Aviatik(multi1)
BE2c
CaproniCA32
CaproniCA33
Dirigibile_M
Fokker EIII
Fokker DVIII
Lohner_L
Macchi_L1
Oeffag DIII
Se5
Se5A
Snipe
SPAD-7(Multi1)
Zeppelin_M
Zeppelin_P

The ones which had to be removed / reasons:

CaproniCA42 / no slot yet, not in dbw.1916 solved!
Fokker DVI / ctd
Fokker DVII / unavailable/wip
FokkerDr1 / mid air freezing
FriedrichshafenG.III / different slot, not in dbw.1916
Nieuport 17 17Bis 23 IV / unavailable/wip
Nieuport11 / different slot, not in dbw.1916
Roland_DII / different slot, not in dbw.1916

I hope this helps but I also made a DBW.1916 compatible version, only 5Mb compressed:
http://www.vpmedia.eu/il2/zip/DBW1916_weapons_patch_v2.7z
I havent edited the weapons_ru.properties yet, this will be updated later with it.

Thanks to Dreamk for this great mod!

I'm sure that after a bit of teeth sharpening this 'll became a great step towards historical behaviour!

Thanks to all involved!
