Bad news, The Heli's wont start, and if you use AI to start, the Heli slides off the back of the Pad. :(

Just tried, could start and fly away at first attempt.
Guy, start engine, give ~40% thottle, pull stick back a little bit
and hit the chocks key... and you should go upward.  ;)

yea i know about the AI but there isn't anything that can be done to fix it as it has to do with carrier takeoff and swamping to takeoff area and i'm not sure what will do to fix for it

Man I hope you are able to get htis into the next DBW version, as this is just cool. Keep in mind that ships this size, like the slightly longer Gearing/Sumner class DDs that were based on the Fletcher hull, had a "helicopter pad" designed for the unmanned DASH radio controled ASW drones with 12 in ASW torpedos.....yeah, they did have a very high loss rate, so that small pad kinda mirrors the small pad used on ships that size for the DASH.

This ship you have here is really versatile and will help take the fleets past the WW2 era and fill in well for a number of ship types and classes. Six Fletchers were modified sort of like you have here, but with an Weapon Alpha ASW missle launcher in the B position. The USN was well stocked with post war versions of the Sumner and Gearing classes based on this hull.

Have you considered replacing the single 5 in mounts with the twin 5 in mounts as used on the Essex class, making quasi Sumner/Gearing class DD variants that were based on the Fletcher? The wartime ships had two mounts forward and one aft, while the post war Gearings had one forward and aft with a Dash hangar aft and an ASROC amidships. Would really fill a couple of big gaps.......just a suggestion. I was going to make a request with such a suggestion in the requests section. I'm going back into my dungeon now.

Thankx for all the incredible effort you put into this great work.  :P

actual i did think about the twin 5 inch but when I was looking around not many ships in 1960 had twin barrel guns most had single, but It could be change if I decide to make an upgrade

2 questions

1. What was the Fletcher's top speed (fully loaded)?

2. What other Ships Supported its Service?

& @ Blazing, I wouldnt worry about the AI debacle, I think SAS~Anto & SAS~Storebror probably can figure a way to make things work. We can only hope!
