Hah, you beat me to it.
Don't know how I missed this thread. I pretty much use DBW now, but I have archived so many great missions, campaigns and skins that were built for 4.09. I think I will go back and revisit them. I think is a great idea.

I also stick with 4.09!! I have all the other, newer versions too but I rarely use them.

Can you help me ? I have re-installed 1946 from the disk. I also installed 4.08m and 4.09m . I want now install a MOD and activate it, witch one should I install ?  I really just want to play offline.

Guess you are in the right place, at least for a while. Version 4.09 is certainly the most friendly concerning to Mods. Maybe you could download and install UP 2.01. Very good pack, stable and easy to deal with. It's plenty of mods itself, and you can add many others in a "Mods folder".
I realised it's not so good to have several co-existing modded versions of the same game. It means more chances to make a mess, not to mention the time consuming (just my personal view, since the idea is to PLAY the game, isn't it?).
Moreover, we must keep in mind that v4.12 is almost at reach. I think it can be regarded as a kind of "officialy modded" version which probably will make many things obsolet/expendable... :-\

That would be cool , 4.12 I mean , do you know if 4.12 will have the taxi way points ?
Right now I am in in the middle of making IL-2 movies. I have 3 going , War of the Ace's ,Tank Buster's and Zebra's -26, but I can't get the A-26 to work in my 4.10.1
I am in pre- production for Zebra's 26 . I lost he drive War of the Ace's is stored on and haven't recovered the drive yet so I moved to The  Tank Buster's. It will be nice to have one game, I am looking forward to that. Thanks a lot for your help Oscarito I will go get UP 2.01 .
