As far as I know this is the complete list Red
Code: [Select]
MC-202            air.MC_202 2                                  i01   SUMMER
MC-202_III        air.MC_202_3 2                        NOINFO  i01   SUMMER
MC-202_VII        air.MC_202_7 2                        NOINFO  i01   SUMMER
MC-202_XII        air.MC_202_12 2                       NOINFO  i01   SUMMER
MC-202_XII_CB     air.MC_202_12_CB 2                    NOINFO  i01   SUMMER
The top one in the list is the 1942 version (sorry for my typo of 1940 version earlier)  which can be made flyable by adding this cockpit  https://www.mediafire.com/?kfpcda41kmfoqcl  the author of the cockpits name escapes me at the moment but,I thank him for his work, and the 1942 version model can be extracted from any fb_3do01 file using the SFS Extractor.Oh and I had to take your CFs and blister update out because the 1942 version has a different canopy.

Hi

I have done some test and:

1) got the CB series working in a simplest way by adding your XII series file in two new folder named for the CB MC-202XIICB(it) and MC-202XIICB(Multi1) without need for text update because in this way your mod simply update the CB wich wings remain untouched;

2) adding the cockpit as above I got the MC202 flyable but I believe that it can't be the 1940 version as stated by Gumpy and so a series before the III because the III haven't the radio mast wich appear in this one and in the VII & XII and moreover it have a 4x12,7 mg when the III have 2x7,7 and VII & XII have 2x12,7 + 2x7,7....the game label it as a 1942 version when the series III is aged as 1941

1940 was a typo Walter.

OOOoopsss!

I was thinking that was a deduction from plane position!

Apologize for my misunderstanding!

Anyway I have take a look at my Squadron book about this great plane and read that pilots find ineffective the two wings mounted 7,7 MG and they usually discharge them or let them unloaded to save weight , also they don't like the 20mm german gun pod due decrease in performance; so this version with it's 4x12,7 MG can be looked for a late one at middle way between the need for more firing power and the desire to don't decrease too mauch performance....maybe splitting the MG on two trigger can be useful....and add a little MG fairing can be correct....

I have tried to see what happen if we add the new update and got:

Propeller some cm too farward
Canopy rotated
Left carriage perpenducular to wing

All other aspect seem good so a little touch in the hier can easily add also this bird....

All the best at all!

Some smoothing and LOD fixes
« Reply #42 on: April 02, 2013, 12:00:00 PM »

Hello all!

After some tricks with text editor and MATLAB I managed to hide the boundaries of fuselage and wing sections. I also fixed some other bugs with smoothing and LODs so that we can enjoy even more beautiful MC.202. Just download my fix pack at http://koti.mbnet.fi/raukorpi/AMT_Macchi_fix.7z and let it overwrite existing meshes in this mod. Remember to install the wing update before this patch to get smoother wings.

Thank You a lot to Red_Fox90 for this great 3D update! I hope you'll enjoy it even more as this smoother version.
