UPDATE NOTICE!

"Early this evening you have slipped away for a 'test flight'.  In fact you are meeting for an ilicit 'duel' over Ottenin-Beaumont.  Pilots of this time regarded themselves as knights of the air, and many such duels are reputed to have taken place.  Myth or not, you are alone, cruising at 4000 metres to your meeting with fate..."

I enjoyed the 'Duel' Sequences in 'The Eagle of Lille' so much that I added the feature to other WWI campaigns I am working on, also upgrading 'Bloody April'.  How can you not enjoy a duel between an Albatross and an Ace-Level Sopwith Triplane?  So the campaign has been upgraded with the two new missions, which also gave me another chance to look over the scenery and polish up a few details. The download link is the same, and the Single Mission set also contains the new missions so you can get dueling right away!  ;D

Hello Simon,

I have just downloaded your mission pack two time but the folders campaign and single are empty !
Also, the link to CY6 Ambient Airfield Sounds & Superflak (Arty Barrage) seems broken...

Today heroes are not in the sky but like you near a computer and give the opportunity at a lot of player to take pleasure of your beautiful  work !

Best regards, Thierry.

How annoying, I do apologise!  We had a massive storm while I was uploading these last night, either the upload got corrupted or I was put off by the exploding sky!

Fixed now... :-[

Hey Monty,

I'm back to play 1946 after a bit of a hiatus - I was playing Desert Air Force and Siege of Malta. Both excellent campaigns.
I'd like to give 1916 a go.
I've downloaded and installed the DBW 1916 update v2.1, the Paschendale mission pack, and the Ambient sounds mod int the JGSME enabler.

Trouble is I can't see the DBW 1916 mod in the enabler at all - the ambient sounds mod appears, but everything else is old standard 1946 stuff that I was using previously.

I'm assuming I don't extract the DBW 1916 files into the JGSME directory?

Cheers

Hi mate, in JSGME all the mods for Il2 show up but the 1916 stuff is put (by JSGME) into the #DBW_1916 mods folder while the Monty packs head out for the #DBW folder.

No matter, when you select DBW 1916 from the drop-down menu in the Il2 selector it all works.

Hi Monty,

I realize this campaign has been out for a while but I just discovered this along with Vpmedia's 2.1 patch for WWI.

Excellent stuff !! I agree with WWHappy - the first mission in this campaign was awesome and the rest are proving to be just as good.

Thank you for your work and efforts !!

:( All the files are removed from mediafire,  :(

My WWI campaigns for CUP-Dawn of Flight can be found here:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,48076.0.html

Meanwhile; many thanks to VP_Media for totally re-working the missions to the latest DBW-1916.  DBW-1916 is the progenitor of CUP-Dawn of Flight and it has taken a long time for the 412 based CUP to come even close to the full content achieved in DBW-1916.

However, it is getting there now and has all the advantages of 412 FMB.  I would now recommend CUP-Dawn of Flight for WWI content.  Try it, the install is real easy!  ;D
