Campaign updated for the latest DBW1916 patch v3.2, now it uses Fokker E.III/Fokker D.II/Albatros D.I for the players plane during the 12 missions. I'd welcome some feedback about the missions. :)

Hi

Thank you for the update and for DBW 1916!

I've tried a the first mission and it was a nice mission with lot of both ground and air activity with a nice mix of plane types!
But it seems as the AI has problem handling the EIII, my three flight members all crashed to ground in this mission.

Also I have some problems during dogfights since the game hangs/freezes fore a few seconds - usually when I fire my guns which is fatal.
I haven't had this problem in DBW+New TFM.
Is DBW 1916 more computer demanding than DBW+New TFM?
My DBW 1916 frame rate is usually around 40-50.
I'm new to DBW 1916 and was a bit confused about how to control the engine. I've read about some planes use the magnetos to control the rpm, but which ones?

Cheers

AI has difficulties in handling some situation with these ww1 engines, at low level dogfights you got a much bigger chance to lose your squadmates in crashes.

For the fps  problems post your hardware config and your logfile and conf.ini (between code tags) otherwise I got no idea.

Engine rpm control via magnetos was introduced in AMT releases such as Fokker EIII, Dr.I, Albatros DIII and the Camel.

I tried to post my log.lst but I got the "The message exceeds the maximum allowed length (50000 characters)" warning. Then I tried to split it in several parts but still to many characters.
Is there some part of it that is of special interest?

There are some errors and here are a few examples:
[16:47:56]   INTERNAL ERROR: Str2FloatClamp() - Clamped 3 -> 2 (delta = -1) to Range 0..2
[16:50:19]   INTERNAL ERROR: Can't open file 'PaintSchemes/Skins/Fokker_EIII/Default'
[16:50:19]   INTERNAL ERROR: Bitmap 'PaintSchemes/Skins/Fokker_EIII/Default' size: 0 != 512 | 1024
[16:50:19]   INTERNAL ERROR: Can't open file 'PaintSchemes/Pilots/Default'
[16:50:46]   INTERNAL ERROR: HierMesh: Can't find chunk 'VatorLRodV_D0'

Are they critical?

Cheers

Hi, sorry to necro this thread, but I blow up on the runway as soon as I start the first mission.

blowing up on spawn is usually a sign of some loadout in the mission not being properly installed and available in your game.

you might want to check what kind of planes are in that mission and what loadout are assigned in the .mis file (use text editor) and check if they are available in your game.a
