UPDATE: I tried texcompress=2 and TexCompressARBExt=1 and it resulted in lower texture quality (I saw right away that my background image looked noticeably worse), but the cockpits did load. It's not really a good solution.

What I read is that the texcompress fix is for video RAM limit issues. Having a 2GB graphics card, I shouldn't be reaching any limit there, especially since I was running Il-2 maxed-out with just as high-resolution textures on my old PC with its 512MB card! So, I'm getting the feeling that the Il-2 exe thinks there's a problem that doesn't really exist(?). Why do I not get this error loading a map that uses ten 2048x2048 textures? Surely that would take more memory than these cockpits... something weird here.

Amazing Pit Sir, cool new features.
Maybe I should give a hint about "Burgradbremse" (Castle-wheel brake?)
which should read "Bugradbremse" (frontwheel brake?)
This Bug is permanent in all Me 262 Pits we have.

Anyway, goes right into Knochs DBW folder today,
Thanks a bunch

I discovered my problem was caused by the SAS selector, and nothing to do with these great cockpits. So, I'd like to thank Grief, again, for his awesome work, and apologize for taking up unnecessary space on this thread. :)

Mea culpa. Sorry I found mistake with Me-262 Patin repeater. Just 1/2h and all be OK
That is https://www.mediafire.com/?p9rcb7sj38by88y
