Propeller Data
« on: September 25, 2012, 06:16:39 AM »

I am hoping someone here may be able to help me find some data regarding WW2 propellers, assuming at least 1 person has manual or a good reference or pilot notes on different aircraft.
I specifically need to know the material of the propeller, whether it be Steel, Aluminium, Oak Laminate or Duralumin - if this cannot be found, then the manufacturer of the propeller will suffice, the weight of the propeller, the diameter and how many blades, as well as the recommended operating RPM or at least the engine it was designed for.

I had no luck, I found 4 propellers and the needed data but they were all different materials and so the data could not be compared and a forecast predicted.

I at least require 4-5 sets of data to plot. Aluminium & Duralumin weigh roughly the same so these sets can be combined to find results but more importantly, steel, which was used on many Hamilton Standard Propellers and large aircraft during the war.
If you are able to help me, I thank you immensely!
