Hard to say if the AS or AS(M) engine came with 490362. All G-10AS I seen, use MW-50, so DB 605 AS(M). FIVE clues will tell you, the larger DB603 supercharger, port side engine mount is different so it will clear the supercharger (higher arc), Methonol/Water tank, bueles on the lower front cowl to clear piping, & it will have two cold start hatches on the starboard side of the cowl.

But this you provide Herstelle: BM.. puzzles me becouse if i recall correctly, Bolinder-Munktell was only licenced to build the Daimler Benz DB601 engine, not the DB605. Also, WNr.11029 seems much to low for DB 605AS equipted G-10's.

In this maschine was installed following GEARBOX:
Gerät-Nr.: 9-13005 C-7
Änderungen : 11
Werk Nr.: 11029
Herstelle: bm

where "bm"- mean:
bm - AEG-Allgemeine Elektrizitaets-Gesellschaft, Abeteilung Zaehlerfabrik, Berlin

It's a Einbau-Verstellgetriebe. Unfortunately the C-7 version is not mentioned, but the spare parts list is from the year 1943, so I guess the C-7 was a later evolution of these gearboxes.
Look:

Have you for version: C-7  ?????

Hyper-theoretical -perhaps they (BM) were given the nod to produce some parts for the 605 under dipersed production, and ended up doing 605's or re-conditioning/servicing those engines that were close to them geographically?

'bm - AEG-Allgemeine Elektrizitaets-Gesellschaft, Abeteilung Zaehlerfabrik, Berlin'

I don't think so.. BM is Bolinder-Munktell.

razor1uk,
Maybe yes, maybe no.

KrisJG3,

IF you want positive answer, go to TOCH (Rasmussen is the man to talk too  ;) ) or LEMB (PeterD is the man to talk too  :-X ) websites. Avoid wwiiaircraft.net! Bunch of pro-allied hypocrytes. Mention "Dresden" get banned for life  ::) Mention the superiority of 109 over P-40 same results.  ::) ::) Damn book selling website LOL. But if you do go to the last website.. Siegfreid is the man.
