Thing is, these campaigns look very cool...If they were for free, I'd download them immediately.
Now for what Gustav is saying, not sure. Not really taking part...just following the thread :)

heh - not me, that's for sure. :D
other than the official expansion i mentioned earlier, and my original game purchases of IL-2, Forgotten Battles, Ace Expansion, Pacific Fighters and 1946, i've never paid for anything else.
and i have a gazillion skins, missions and campaigns collected over the years.
if someone is willing to pay for addon missions, etc - well, more fool them, i say.
you can't stop people from spending(wasting) their own money, but i can at least have a chuckle about how silly they are, given that most of the best addon content for IL-2 is free.

The questions are, i repeat:
what is the SAS position, as probably WWIIes users are sent here, and therefor SAS is doing preparation work for WWIIes? (hosting, faq, tech help)
and by extension: is my tech help contribution here boosting their sales, even if only by 1 unit? am i a worker for WWIIes? where my royalties at!
Didn't I tell that already?

We don't care.

You might want to re-read our rules, particularly pay attention to the second paragraph, starting with what tells it all: "We are not a Copyright Protection Agency (...)":
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,23602.0.html

That's why we don't see anything special in those efforts and that's why we don't even care letting them promote it here:

We are not a Copyright Protection Agency (...)

We don't care.

well, there goes an expression, loud and clear. As they do (hopefully) only provide the missions, there aint no discussion about stealing mods. i got that into my brain already.
Fact tjhat they use mods to make their own mods, to make their own money, seems nobody cares about that either... i got that too.

the elements i lastly mentioned are not really about copyright either (hosting , tech help, faq) but more like riding piggyback and using a fan site to do the helpdesk instead of doing it yourself.
(jail shower+dropped soap moment?)

Therefor, even reading the second paragraph, i did not find the anwer i was looking for.
and yes... i got that thread saved as a txt file right on my desktop. :D

VPmedia:
I shall try their files to make up my mind.
once someone accidentially sends a zip file with the content to my mailbox.
Otherwise... *nasty expression based on screws"

So much for The day of the lord, sunday.
first i wish them to burn in hell, now i will go to mass and confess my sins and get some cheap ass absolution from my sins.
Religion rocks.
