Illegal... because their work (missions) is based on illegal work (UP3)... so....

You talk like one of those stupid lawyers from these big companies.... NO! (and you DO know it is crap what you just wrote ;)  ...you troll only wants to provoke  ;D )

There is NOTHING illegal in making reference to unlicensed material. Period. UP30 is not properly illegal, btw, just not licensed either.

now come on...
you have so many grey zones!
give me something that i can hold on to, that can serve me as a reference in this fog, for chrissakes.

tell me, with a yes or a no, with your 4.07 eula that you got, and that is still valid today with 4.11
is the "unlicensed material" completely clean or not? i mean clean, as in sparkling clean, like "eat off the floor- clean".

yes or no?

I for one understand that mods are not completely legal.
as long as i do not sign anything else with the official dudes, That is the way things are.
and yes, i understand they tolerate us, to the point of cooperation.

completely legal or only 99.999%?

Be honest!

This is very much a fight in the murky areas....
and i am trying to take your stance and positions, trying to make heads and tails of this Fkuc.

thanks for being really helpful.
I hate lawyers. they do nothing but take mnoney and speak in a language i do not understand.
so... that was quite offensive.

Is the shit round here clean, 100.00% clean, or NOT?

I misunderstood what this topic is about. You can see I used them as an example for an "ok to buy" addon.

I think we should ask wwiies.com customers, here's the first one:

"Hello! My name is Steve. I got two of their addons (BoB, Norway) and I like them, worth the money, dont care about the rest."

Just a few months back I was browsing around the shelves of Media-Market here
in Europe and I saw a nice CD/DVD package with Missions-Campaigns for the
IL-2-1946. I think it was for a BoB-era campaign. Anyeway, the price tag on it was 38 euros,
so I put it back on the shelf. Damn! That´s a Very Rude price-tag!
Those guys must take me for an idiot.

I paid less money for 2 DVDs in England for two brand new games of IL-2-1946 ! Now THAT is
money well spent.
I mean, who wants to pay for something that ...(A) You know the game well but you never heard
of this company or people making these "special missions" for it ...
... and (B) Why pay for something when you have thousands of Great mission and Great campaigns already available on the internet for FREE ++
+++ Plus millions of great Skins from Great artists, and so much more!?

I would rather make a money donation to SAS-1946 or Mission4Today and keep these websites
running and keep them alive.
NOW THAT my friends, is money well spent  ;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
lets shut down their business.
Yep, tactical nuclear strike.
Best regards - Mike
red-mist carpetbombing
:D
I totally agree with you guys.
Send to those guys a dirty bomb.
LOL  ;D That reminds of a joke for a Plastic Surgery Clinic.
 :-* "... Hello! My name is Cindy. I got two of their silicon boobies (Righty and Lefty) and I like them, worth the money, dont care about the rest."
AAAHAHAHAHA  ;D
DON´T EVER trust advertising ads guys. Its all bullshit.
but theres a long history of 3rd party payware campaign&skinpack addons:
BoE
TLD
Ostfront
Wings over series
Desastersoft addons
I got almost all of them and they're usually better than the free to download stuff.
Do you think about missions and campaigns as they are mods? :D
Missions are not mods, neither campaigns are. :P
Live and let them live, we are not dictators.
Let the market do its job. ;)
I say again, don't worry, there is nothing wrong about it. :)
The questions are, i repeat:
what is the UP team position, opinion?
what is the SAS position, as probably WWIIes users are sent here, and therefor SAS is doing preparation work for WWIIes? (hosting, faq, tech help)
and by extension: is my tech help contribution here boosting their sales, even if only by 1 unit? am i a worker for WWIIes? where my royalties at!
what is the HSFX team opinion? are they aware?
What does AAA... oops AAA is dead.
and yes, i still consider mods illegal. call me a dinosaur. just an awareness item. and they use illegal tools to make money, there comes my dilemma from.
i could just drop it and pretend the mods part and the official part were one big team, but i need a paper that says so.
Sorry crazy for getting in your face like that.
i spend my time figuring out this WTF thing and, i should not have responded to your post that was probably only designed to make me grin "ease up dude, you gettin all tense about the subject".
...at least not have responded to you in such a way.
and yes i get tense... because i sense something isnt right.
its that tingling in my ear that i have learned to trust...
