Blackshark, what game version are you using? Note this of intended for DBW but may work with your install. If you are using BAT, have you tried the alternate graphics dlls.

I am using DBW and I applied all the mods requested by DCG Carrier Operations, from TBD1 to maps to Yamato

I hope I understood how to post the log ...

so here there is the complete log:

and with shift+TAB i grabbed the following image ...maybe the problem is witH japan G4M1 bomber ? i see the row on the bottom half with the text "exception ..." ... with G4M1 ? if yes what could I do ?
i did not make any mod on that plane ...

To make a check I started the first mission of each sub-campaign (Torpedo campaigns with all the mod included in the campagn, from TBD1 to maps to ships) and very often I had that picture.

I have that problem with those sub-campaigns:
- Marcus
- Truk
- Saipan
- Kwajalein
- Truk (2 GC tour)
- Saipan (2 GC tour)
- Chichi

This is your problem, I think:

[12:13:03]  Mission error, ID_04: java.lang.RuntimeException: Weapon set 'none' not registered in air.G4M1_11

This will be an easy one to fix. There is an entry of "none" in your payloads.dcg file that the bomber no longer supports.

Do you know how to edit the payloads.dcg file? If so, I would recommend changing "none" to "default"

If you are not familiar with editing that file, we will work something out by email or posting the file here.

A great thank you, now it works !

I do have some other questions:

- In the payloads file I changed "none" to "default" in all the four columns, it that correct ?

- But after I started "Saipan" campaign I had an explosion on the deck and on the screen i had the same message as in the picture above (about G4M1) so I checked again the "payloads" file and I noticed that in the first and third column I still had "none" !? ... while in the 2nd and fourth I had "default".
Then I changed them again yo "default" and the mission started right ... is it possible that the game changes the "payload" file ?
Should I change to file to "read-only" ?

- Last question, after the "payload" corrected I started the "Marcus" sub-campaign with TBD1 and now the first mission start fine but the AI planes do not take off, they start the engine, the first move to the center of the deck as for take-off, but the never take-off ... they stay there ... is there anything I could do ?

You don't want to change all of the payloads to default. Each column tells DCG which bomb load to use for a given mission: ground attack, shipping attack, etc. I am not at my computer right now but later I will delineate the columns. DCG won't change the file. It is tricky to edit though because the lines are so long. When editing turn word wrap off, make sure all colmns align, and use spaces not tabs.

The Marcus case has me scratching my head. Could you post the mission file?

First of all I made many steps ahead to to play that campaign thank to your help, many sub-campaigns now work

I tried the same mission with the "bomber" campaign and with the "fighter" campaign and with those, the AI planes take-off fine ... so it seem related to TDB-1 (that I installed for this campaign following the instructions). Anyway in the following campaigns TDB1 work fine and AI planes take-off.

Then I had another problem on the first mission of Truk Lagoon, here I post the picture with some on screen log:

I again noticed, after I exited IL2 following the problem in Truk, that in "payloads" for G4M1 the first and third colums have been re-changed by IL2 to "none" (because I change them to "default" before ...)

Sorry, but my old eyes cannot read the text on your screen capture.

For the payloads file this is the way DCG uses the columns (my comments/recommendations are on the right):

Column 1-[Name of plane from air.ini - air.xxx]
Column 2-[Ground attack loadout]            Often multiple smaller bombs
Column 5-[Long range]                            Fighter drop tanks
Column 6-[Anti-shipping]                         Larger bombs or torpedo (we now also have some mines)
Column 7-[?]                                          I don't know what this is-seems to always be default though

So for your Betty bomber, in 4.12 (I do not have a 4.10 install) I have the following (these will probably not work for you due to version differences, I just provide them as examples):

The problem appears to be weapon related, but I cannot decipher the error. I am used to the log telling me that a given weapon is not registered for the aircraft, as was the case with the Betty.

In this case, there is an array out of bounds error:

java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException

I don't know enough java or game code to know what that means. Is a weapon's text string too long? I just do not know. Maybe a more knowledgeable person will comment.
