Merry Christmas everyone. I wish you all the best in this world for you and your family and loved ones.
The new year is bringing in some wonderful new additions to this fine old game
we all enjoy.
It WILL get even better as time goes by. These things take along time and many hours to create
but anything is possible. IT IS POSSIBLE!
We must think positive.
Thank you to ALL of those good friends who have been involved in this WW1 project, as well as the many different
game versions we have been flying in. I love flying in WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam.. and soon on the moon!
As for WW1 maps, yes, many WW2 era maps can be changed for another time period and made to look like a WW1 landscape.
We already have 3 fantastic maps created by SAS~Boomer available and I am (slowly but surely) re-painting them
all to have more details. One map that we already have is the winter map, but it is missing a lot of winter objects, so
I am doing a lot of painting and creating a winter version for ALL of our IL2-1946+Mods objects.
No, I am not just
adding white paint to the roofs or some simple stuff. I want my personal game to look its best when I fly in it. So all objects
are being carefully painted to look proper in a winter landscape. For example, snow on the windows and window sills,
icicles dripping from the roofs and other nice assorted winter details which will make buildings look more realistic.
I want to see many different looking buildings and houses when I fly in my game.
Many of the old summer objects are also being re-painted to have more details on them. For example, houses with curtains and flower vases, flags draped on walls for headquarter buildings, better detailed walls and roofs. Many many new things and details!
These are all things that will make this game come ALIVE and not just looking like a normal game.
This game deserves to
look better! and I am doing my best to change things around.
As for aircraft skins, yeah, I am painting a lot of skins too, but all of these things take time to do properly. I will post these things when I feel that they are finished and ready.
So be patient and enjoy what we already have until the new things arrive one day soon.
Have a great flight and many flying adventures this Christmas everyone.
Cheers
MAX
