Ki-43-Ic 59th Sentai, Palembang February 1942
« on: May 22, 2012, 05:49:59 AM »

I'm trying to update, with his permission, Poltava's "Raging Eagles", mostly to extract all Hayabusa's (my favourite) missions, to compile a dedicated campaign.

If possible, I would improve mentioned livery, currently that by Palanganamecanica, depicting a first Chutai's example, actually as it was at Hankow, China, the year before.

Can't find anything suitable on the internet and I wonder if someone would volunteer (I'm absolutely unable).

Cheers,
GB

I'd be happy to do the skin- do you have any images of specific a/c that you could provide as references?

Thank you very much! Unfortunately, I've no image of that: neither Shores' nor Bueschel's books I have have a photo of that model at that time belonging to any Chutai of Sentai 59. I carefully searched also the internet without success.  :(

I think following is best compromise; not Sentai 59 (Sentai 64 Staff, indeed) but showing "sand and spinach" camo closest to actual shown in period photo. Could be depicted without Sentai markings, otherwise I can always switch to 64th Sentai, operational at Palembang too. Please let me know if you're still interested.

That's perfect! Could you make it available and may I have your permission to use it for my above mentioned Hayabusa's dedicated campaign?

Thanks a lot for your cooperation!

Waiting for post #18. At an average of one every two months it'll arrive before end of July...

Again, many apologies for the delay- real life has gotten in the way of my skinning habits... but here are two finished skins: I included one with the blue tail band, and another with red. Let me know if you'd like any more of them!

Got 'em!

Thank you very much! I did ask for any Chutai, but 2nd one that you also did is right what I would need. You surpassed my best expectations.

Best regards,
