It's a shame that some people have been trying to take parts of it to sell for scrap or souvenirs.   :(

Hopefully She'll remain intact long enough for removal to a safe place.

How very sad. Evidence to suggest that he had tried to get the radio working, and had stayed with the plane for some time. Must have realised no-one was coming and tried to walk out. The nearest town was nearly 200miles away, even if you could navigate correctly and had food and water- the condition of the aircraft shows how distant he was from humanity.

Think I would have gone for the cowards way out and took the morphine from the medical kit in the aircraft.

Another thing I noticed- the aircraft must be salvaged asap, as since the daily mail photos were taken, some a@$hole has broken the glass on both the windscreen and the instruments (see photos in Mystic's link)- now its been found, it wont be long before bits start going missing, and this incredible find is destroyed.

Rest in Peace Flight Sergeant Dennis Copping  :(  You will not be forgotten in the sands of time.

About 2 weeks ago 2 Portuguese long-distance motorcross racers died in the desert. They were found
dead after a few days from lack of water and they found  their broken motor bikes.
I believe they were racing in some type of race like the Paris-Dakar race. Sad news.
The desert is like another world, on another planet. It is unforgiving.
