As a matter of fact it is worth to include this fix in all versions but apparently SAS ModAct and DBW are more tolerant to this kind of error and can deal with it - UP is more touchy ;)

When you say in all versions, do you mean in the other recent scw planes that were posted too? AS in Dewoitines, Gourdou-Lesseures etc?

Only for the planes that use the Parasol Y class ( the Ni52) or Z (The Gourdous) (the others use Parasol X) - the problem appears only in UP3.0

Nobody else experienced the ground crash of AI Nieuports?

Ground crash of AI Nieuports - I checked the issue . It's a phenomenon appearing only when the AI scrambles under attack.
When the Ai flies, including in air combat - no problem, goes up down, arcobatics and the rest, then lands
When the AI takes off without being under attack no problem either.
It seems that the AI simulates the problem of a slow aircraft not devised for "point interception scramble" that enters into violent fighting at low level without gaining enough speed and enters stall situations. typically crashes into a hill by being unable to take height adequately.

Well, I acknowledge It's a great work to develope these sofisticated behaviour in AI, but it's a little annoying when you're just starting to dogfight and half of your enemies have already crashed.  ::)
It's much more interesting when you achieve to force them crashing on a hill, while prosecuting you. The same weird thing with PWS-10. But you're right, it depends on the mission you're playing so I'll try to create FMB missions avoiding this scramble situations.  :P

I have the feeling that it's related to the low power of the engine or rather to the power/weight ratio of these aircraft (of rather similar performances/ category) - as they seem not to be able to resource fast enough when caught at take off, and therefore stall.  We need to ask the AI experts on this forum.

hey Murdoc, that red overspraying of the fuselage code numbers is pretty cool.  Great job!

DreamK, I just noticed all these new SCW planes coming out.  Awesome package!

On the Republican side, certainly during the early months, it was often a make-do, do-it-yourself kind of war ... makes for very colorful and varied markings and profiles ...

Don't know which sound file you are using, but what a lovely sound on startup and taking it up to full throttle.

Cheers - Redfox

This seems to be the same sound file as the R-5 which has always been a bit of an issue for my install. For some reason, when the R-5 (and now the Nieuport 52) fly at lower speeds, the "wump, wump" sound is extremely loud and drowns out all other sounds. This is true even if the R-5 (now also N 52) are enemy ai aircraft.

Has anyone else experiened this? Or is it just something with my install?

All of these latest SCW aircraft are wonderful additions.
