« on: March 08, 2012, 06:06:54 PM »

Hello!  :)

For all those interested! I posted a link to all my skins of the Ju 88 G-6 in the one Skinpack:

http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&file=details&id=1156

April 14, 2012 - I gathered the next 5 skins of the Ju 88 G-6, which are not included in the first Skinpack.
Now you can download them at once as the MiniSkinpack

The individual skins can be found below. Cheers! Albert Von Grewe

Hello!
This is Ju 88 G-6 of 5./NJG 4. This plane had a three-color factory camouflage: base RLM 76, spots RLM 75 and RLM 77 (flaps, engine covers, etc.)

March 17 2012 - Fixed a problem with the skin of landing gear for Ju 88 G-6 v1.4!

March 28 2012 - A little improved the quality of this skin (it was the first and some imperfect)
;)

Hello!
This Ju 88 G-6 4R+EP had a really unusual camouflage (but very interesting, I think).
The bottom of the plane was RLM 76, the top of the hull and wings RLM 77 with spots RLM 75 and large tracts RLM 82.
The top of engine cover was RLM 83. Have a good flight!  ;)

Hello!
This is Ju 88 G-6 flown by Oblt. Walter Briegleb of 7./NJG2, March 1945 (Operation Gisela).
This plane had Wellenmuster type meandering lines in the late war color RLM83 applied to the standard camouflage RLM76/RLM75. Have fun!  ;)

Hello!
My next work is the Ju 88 G-6 of 11./NJG3, Grove, early 1945. This plane had a interesting but still enigmatic camouflage.
I tried to give the most probable version: fuselage RLM76/RLM75, tail RLM77/RLM75, top of wings RLM75/RLM82, top of engine covers RLM77/RLM83, bottom of wings and engine covers RLM76 and some elements RLM77. This is a typical irregular camouflage formed in a combat unit. Successful hunt!  :P

Hello!
This Ju 88 G-6 of II./NJG100 had a late war colors camouflage. The plane was painted light gray RLM77 with spots RLM82 and RLM83 and looked a little like a cow  :P
Happy hunting cowboys!  :D

Your skins are great!
Thank you for dressing up this bird. It's great to see that it's getting a good deal of skinning attention.

Btw, v1.3 is coming up, and it will have a revised vertical stabilizer, which unfortunately means UVWs had to be changed on the tailfin. I assume you have been following the discussion in the G-6 thread. Anyway, if your tailfin texture continous forward (as instead of being masked off like in Phas3e's skins), the impact of the mapping change should be minimal.

Hello!
I made this skin especially for the SN-2 Morgenstern antennas.  ;)
This Ju 88 G-6 was the plane of Gruppenkommandeur II/NJG 5 Major Hans Leickhardt (30 kills; He was killed on the night of March 5/6 1945).
Camouflage: base RLM77 with mottling RLM75/RLM83.

Hello!
The next interesting plane.  :)
This Ju 88 G-6 had the standard camouflage (RLM76/RLM75) with black fin outline to be similar to older Ju 88 C.  Flying High!

Hello!
The Ju-88 G-6 9W+EL was the aircraft of NJG 101. Many planes (Bf 110 G-4, Ju 88 G-1 and G-6) of this unit had the camouflage:
standard RLM76/75 whith the heavy zigzags RLM81.
The photo shows that the right engine of this Ju 88 was replaced and had other colors, but unfortunately the template does not allow do that.
It should be assumed that the whole plane was originally in zigzags.
Tiresome the zigzags, hehe!  ;)

Hello!
This Ju 88 G-6 is pretty well known, I think. The crew of this plane escaped on it to Switzerland, 30 April 1945.
It had the FuG-218 V/R "Neptune" (I know that we don't have this radar yet, but maybe one day will be available - if someone wants to can use the SN-2 Morgenstern antennas).
The aircraft also had ETC bomb racks.
Since the aircraft was also used in the night ground attack role against enemy ground troops it had the factory applied RLM 75/76 camouflage painted over with RLM 82 and RLM 83.
Originally it had the black markings, but Swiss repainted them in white.
Successful escape! :P

Hello!
The next Ju 88 G-6 in a typical camouflage RLM 76/75. This plane of 1./NJG3 had engine covers painted RLM 83 and coated with RLM 77 (it is possible that the left engine was not coated whith RLM 77, but I can not do).
The propeller spinners were painted RLM 77 too.

Hello!
I recently found on the internet an interesting photo of the Ju 88 G-6.
Probably this Ju 88 had a code D5+KS and was a plane of NJG 3. I couldn't identify it in 100%, because it didn't have a serial number (If anyone knows anything about this Ju 88, please write to me).
This aircraft had standard camouflage; RLM76/75. The rudder was darker, probably coated with RLM75.
I also added the spiral motif on the spinners (some of the night Ju 88s had the spiral spinners similar to the Luftwaffe single-engine fighters).

March 26, 2012 - I removed the error (the RLM83 spots). Sorry for my over-interpretation of the photo. :-[
