Thanks Guys,
I've checked the mission against several other "none" missions on different Euro maps and I still can't see any difference/problem. The mission in question does not have landing waypoints for the Red or Blue aircraft but I assume that's not the problem.
I guess the only thing to try now is use FMB to build another misssion from scratch using the guidance you've both offered and see what happens.
Stay tuned.

Malone and LeOne:
I've tried another new mission flying the Kursk map (KurskBlueNone00) and got the same "data file corrupt" error. Again, the mission flew when launched fromthe FMB. What I did notice is that when "Axis" is selected as the side in QMBPro, the background music that plays is the Japanese theme, not the German theme. This also happened when the first mission I posted here did not work (same corrupt error), the Japanese background music played when "Axis" was selected in the QMBPro GUI.
Makes me think there is some type of configuration error in QMBPro in thinking it's playing a Japanese side mission.
Here's the latest attempt (I could find nothing wrong and it played fine when launched from the FMB:

Any ideas as to why QMB apparently thinks the mission is "Japanese"?

One suggestion: don't chose any specific plane. Try leaving the first that comes up in the list in FMB. Sometime is difficult to understand for me too how some Quick Missions work faultlessly, while other not...

...when making the first mission (in your case for blue) save it, then set the first red planes pilot to active and save this now as Red one.

Gerax, i've found that it's not even necessary to set any plane with an active pilot for QMB missions - i don't do it, and it still works fine. so, for example, i just make a mission with 4 flights red/blue, save it as RedNone00 AND BlueNone00, and that works.... ;)
just an extra 2 cents from me.... :D

Just a little tip. Remember that after IL2 408 we got this position selector in qmb.
This means that its actually 6 nonemissions that should be made.
Position N is normal  (Head on)   and is saved as                  None00.mis
"      A is enemy in front (You chase them) saved as         None10.mis
"      D is enemy at your six saved as                              None20.mis

then it should be complete with RedNone00, RedNone10 and RedNone20 and the same for Blue
As Malone said before there is no need for mark any plane as pilot so when you make RedNone10 you just push save as and rename the same mission BlueNone20. There you go 2 missions in one

No sence not doing it when we got the choise

Hi Le0ne:
do you mean to say we can triple all the number of missions in QMB? This would be excellent! Are they coming up in the PopUp menu as None, None1, etc?
This is another piece of information...

No its only in Nonemissions the optionbox are available when you choose airbase, armor, bridge and quickstrike the selector box disappear
But of course you can make Nonemissions any way you like every "color" None`s are 3 missions

Well it is been a FULL year since that post is up, and nobody has posted since August. Merry Christmas all, again!!!

Since I'm currently updating my missions in QBM, I have a question for anyone still there, that just pop up in my mind !
There are these type of missions: none00, none10 and none20. So what's the diff. and why are there three different kinds of Nones ??

I did find this:

No sense not doing it when we got the choice
... not sure I understand that one. Hum... checking...

Got it: the SITUATION setting !!! Normal, Advantage, Disadvantage.

So if I understand correctly: all three types can be rigged from the same mission with different names ? Will they portray the
setting... or do you need to 'edit' and care putting enemies behind you, or running ahead from you ? Never thought these
settings worked... so this may be because very few are actually programmed the right way...

By the way, I think the "No Hand Sign" means don't wear gloves !!  ;D

Te none00 missions is meant to be like the ordinary enemy ahead of you face to face, None10 you are chasing the enemy and none20 you got enemy at your six

So it wont be IMPLEMENTED if you do not program them the right way ?
