Just wanted to let you all know that there currently is a sale going on for the digital download version of Rise of Flight (Iron Cross Edition). For just 9.99$ that really is a STEAL for such an awesome combat flight sim. I've paid about 4 times as much for it a year or so ago. The sale is going on from February 14th to the 20th so hurry up!

all other planes need to be bought seperately via the RoF online store. However you can man the gunner seats on any 2 seater or bomber online, even if you do not own the plane in question! The sim is still going strong but could need a few more people flying it, the devs also have pronounced their preliminary plans for 2012 which include a channel map covering parts of northern France, Belgium and England, a DH.4 2 seater as well as two seaplanes (Flexistowe F.2a & Hansa-Brandenburg W.12)

And for those who are not sure wether or not they want to actually buy it or if their PC can handle it: You can download the unlimited Rise of Flight demo which has all the features of the full sim for free, the only limitation is that you are only able to fly the SPAD XIII and Albatros D.Va but as said you can man any gunner position online even with the demo! If you like it you can then purchase it via the sale and just enter the product key on the RoF homepage in your profile and thus unlock the full sim.

Had it since the start, there is no more serverissues and the FM is great. No sim can provide better POW and pit's. Missions are better and onlineplay and lobby is the best I have seen. Not a day without my ROF time.
It need a good rig gor max settings but it is a real treat flying in lower settings too. even it look better than Clod it still run a lot better

I particularily like the fact that 777 are now finally going to develop a new map and seaplanes, guess I better do a bit of pre-ordering eh.

Thats about 50% off the regular price! I know that it also works for non US citizens as I've gifted a copy of the sim to a friend of mine not too long ago and got it from the same store (and I'm in Europe)

They are doing a felixstowe! The new channel map looks epic although I hope they sort out some of the spellings.. FaverSHAM, FolkSTONE, SheerNESS

Speaking as a Kentish man, the spellings sadden me... And here's hoping there'll be a Tunbridge Wells!

Rise of Flight is also fully 6dof capable and works with a number of head trackers, I myself am currently using FaceTrack NoIR v160 with a Playstation Eye camera and it works very well! You can see a selfmade test video here:
